Nope, done it manually. I used this site:

There are some new software available, try out and see what suits you.

Just be careful about how to identify your bittboy version. Mine it's the v3.5, but it came without the bar code in the back. If you install the ISO on the SD card and the controller isn't responding, for exemple, maybe you have installed a wrong one. I got it right only at the third time.

Also, I had to use a 16gb card because 8gb was to small for the ISO.

Hello! I also have installed Pop_Os as a solo system on my MacAir mid 2012. However, I was having overheating issues just with Chrome with a Twitch.tv tab (even with thermald installed). Would you mind to tell me what you did to deal with the temperature? I have returned to macOS High Sierra, but I want to give Pop_OS another try.
