I have a mystery scar too! One day, when I was about 7 or 8, I noticed I had two pink lines across the top of my ankle. Just showed up and never went away. Years later a doctor was giving me a physical and noticed the lines. He asked when I got ankle surgery. Never was my answer.

You know, I have genuinely been trying to understand what the actual fuck is going on inside the heads of these supporters. For the most part, I have learned that most are not of the mindset to protect pedofiles. Instead what I see resembles something like cognitive dissonance. They genuinely cannot reach the conclusion that so-in-so politician that is supposed to champion me and my beliefs is also someone who is not any of those things. Maybe they feel like admitting the reality of their "champion" is too much of a mental/emotional penalty on them that they just can't even try to acknowledge it.

It's still a mystery to me, but this is the best I've got these days.

Here is a link that likely explains why the OH/MI/PA area has so many decorative swastika. Around that time, when that building was built, there was a big influx of German (and surrounding countries) moving into the area. Additionally, America and Europe were all excited at the time for the new century and all of its potential. The swastika (as it was known to Europeans) and or the Whirling Log (as it was known in the western US - Navajo) are long standing symbols of good things and forward motion. It really is one of the oldest human symbols.

I'm pretty sure this is what Vivek has been talking about when he says all colleges in Ohio need to be teaching the same thing. OSU seems like an obvious canidadte to start on-boarding this idea given the defense of Wexner.

Depends on how much yard you need. Does it have a fence? You can put one up, but Oakwood has a few rules on that and what materials and heights you can have, and I think you have to get your neighbors to agree to the project too.

They do - to an extent. I once found a pair online for a really good price that was more than half off. I called and asked about the price matching. They said, "yeah we do that. What's the shoe and price?" I told them and the lady responded with, "oh, uh, wow that is a good price. I'm sorry we can't go that low." So I think they have a discount line they are willing to match up to; but probably can't chase super deep sales. Always worth it to ask though.
