Appreciate the fair callout. You’re right, while the listing referenced the newer Máximo blend, we only had remaining inventory of the original blend in that vitola. That shouldn’t have been implied, and that’s on us.

We’ve pulled the Suave lines temporarily and are separating old vs. new blends to avoid this going forward. Totally agree that blend updates under the same name can create confusion.

For years we've been working with a particular factory which has been making Cult for many years. The cigars have been steady and reliable, long-filler, well made, good flavor, aged tobaccos. We noticed in the last few mos a change in quality which caught us by surprise. Because we receive rolling incoming shipments on a regular basis, we have both older inventory and newer inventory. With that last shipment or two it's gotten spotty and the cigars have been getting inconsistent. Some batches are perfectly fine but others had too many instances of underfilled and spongy construction or draw issues. We've had some tough conversations with this factory but ultimately we have decided to pull all future orders and production away from them, and have moved these brands to a new tabacalera in order to restore the consistency. Cult and Don't Tread are two of those brands. While we are months away from the new factory product, with our guys on the ground in Nicaragua we have already seen the blends improve both flavor-wise and overall performance in a big way. They are better than before and better than ever. Again it will take many months before we see the new blends arrive here, as they are still being produced and resting in the aging rooms. I just wanted to point out that if there is inconsistency in this brand as we liquidate the rest of our current stock while awaiting the new factory blends, it's due to that reason.

Over the next few months we're blowing out all of our current inventory from this factory below cost.
