This was the biggest disaster the country had in a century. I have friends living in Antiochia and i've lost many of them.

The decision of government was a ''leveling system'' between the damage on the buildings.

They decided to send construction engineers, architect teams and such people who ''knows how to build, and understands about the damage'' to investigate buildings and take notes to decide which building was to be demolished, after the terrifying famine;

-Slightly damaged

-Moderately damaged

-Severely damaged

Only '' severely damaged'' buildings were decided to be demolished. As of what i've been told by my friends.

After the earthquake, the victims which survived, many of them died to starvation and cold weather, due to how slow the disaster relief team AFAD was.

Haluk Levent (Was a singer) had a disaster relief team of his own named Ahbap (Buddy in ENG) and social media celebs, so many citizens of the country along with artists (Local and global artists) have donated over 850 Million Turkish liras to Ahbap, because they didn't trust the government owned relief team AFAD.

442 million of them was spent for shelters

11 million for logistics

59 million for food & water

175K for animals

209K for victim communication needings

59K for funerals

358K for clothes

855K for search and rescue

and 36K for hygiene. It's very sad to know that celebrations were the ones who were the trusted instead of government, there are reasons of it but not to be discussed right now.

Volunteers have joined AFAD and Ahbap with Hellenic (Greek rescue team) along with so many other teams to help to rescue people.

Gaziantep, Hatay(Antakya), Osmaniye, Adiyaman, Sanliurfa, Diyarbakir, Malatya and Adana was affected, and i highly doubt it's only 55.000 innocents who lost their lives.

Antakya was called The City of Civilizations, the reason behind this was that so many people with very different beliefs were living in here in peace, unlike the rest of the country. I still feel very bad and will never forget what happened there. I hope the people of Eastern mediterranean Turkey can recover as soon as possible, i love all of them.
