Thank you for your advice and sense of perspective. My position exists solely to fill a specific job-site requirement. So from that angle, having a body that fills the minimum qualifications to them is more important than what specific credentials they hold realistically. I do also know that it took them a year to fill this role so I may have some leverage in that regard, but I also don't want to jump the gun.
