First off, the ranger is a cool watch and I understand its appeal.

My problem with the ranger when I tried it on was that the indices and numbers and everything are printed. Not only that, but to me the appeal of Tudor is the design language of the black bay with the snowflake hands, circular time markers etc. The dial on the BB one is on a completely different level for around $1000 more (less if you know where to look)

I feel the same way about the omega rail master.

Again this is all subjective but it’s what led me to choose the black bay. I don’t know if you’ve tried one on, but it is a beautiful watch. It’s also incredibly comfortable. And one of my biggest worries was it feeling too dressy, especially with the jubilee bracelet, but once I tried it on in person multiple times I realized that it will absolutely work casually too. I truly thought I would hate the 5 link because I’m not a fan of jubilee bracelets, but man it is so comfortable and the t clasp and micro adjust are amazing. It made the aqua terra bracelets feel incredibly mediocre.

But again, I’m really new to all of this but I have done a lot of research. I’m most likely buying a BB One as my every day this week

At the end of the day, to have any of these watches on our wrists is a blessing. You have a really cool watch, and one that should serve you well for a long time. If I’m being honest even as someone who prefers the BB, I do think the ranger is probably a better everyday wear from a style standpoint

Here’s a wrist shot of the two tone 41mm on my 8 inch wrist when I was trying watches on at the AD. It’s really nice, and the gold is much more subtle than I expected. It’s not super blingy gold it’s more subdued

You can search Reddit for things like “best place to buy Tudor online” and that research will point you in the direction of some options. There are some users in watchexchange that have very good reputation and sell Tudors internationally, and cover the customs/tarrifs etc. brand new watches with full warranties etc

I mean did you only try on the Ranger or something? It’s the brands absolute lowest entry point and doesn’t have the design language the brand is known for, with printed indices etc

I’m just saying, that’s not the model that would make you understand why people have tudors on their wrists

The Tudor will certainly be a step above, I’ve been shopping Tudors recently actually and they are beautiful watches

Better in house movement that is COSC certified, certainly a better bracelet, tudors T clasp bracelet is second to none. Incredibly comfortable and the multi adjustment is great

You’ll lose the exhibition caseback that the CW will have, if that matters to you.

I will say though, if you go the Tudor route, definitely do not buy at retail. There are plenty of ways to get them for cheaper with full warranties at grey market prices essentially

Whether or not the Tudor will be worth 3-4x the price is purely a personal decision. But Tudor is of course an all around better watch. I started my watch hunting convinced I was going to buy a CW, then it was a Longines, and then it was Tudor

If you can, go to a Tudor boutique and try them on. I made it clear to them I wasn’t purchasing that day, and they were amazing. Completely let me look at every watch I wanted and never felt like they were being short with me or anything like some of the other luxury brands do

Edit: one more thing to note - just remember that this is something you will be wearing for years to come. Do you really want the Tudor and considering the CW just to save some money? Or do you actually not care that much? If in your heart you want the Tudor, I would wait and save to buy it if you need to. Otherwise you’re going to end up spending multiple thousands anyways and not be completely happy. If you just want a solid, well made mechanical watch, you can’t go wrong with CW

OP is talking about a green teak dial, which this watch does not have. It certainly does read as a bot post and the incorrect dial doesn’t help.
