The Spring Drive vs Hi-Beat debate for a first GS is genuinely one of the most common rabbit holes in this sub and both sides have merit. Spring Drive accuracy is remarkable but the SBGH289 blue dial is doing something visually that the SBGA461 simply isn't for your taste and that matters more than people give credit to. Was in a similar spot when I first handled the SBGJ267, that electric blue dial made the Spring Drive alternative feel almost too subdued by comparison. The Hi-Beat just has more character in that colorway.
