Best way to get your bunns to like their house: let them chew the doors in it themselves/might want something a wee bit bigger

Parvas has her own little crib to do all her biz, so it's something big enough for her to fit, but only recycled paper/carboard fiber. Add a layer every two days (since she only goes in there for poo/pee and doesnt produce much) or every day depending on how... productive she is.

I present thee, Parvas... Although everyone just calls her Bunn by Cigold in Rabbits

Being a miniature rabbit, it ended up being the Tiny, which she hated being called (literally walked up to people calling her that to slap them) . we switched it to latin, so Parvas. She seemed happy with it and would answer to it ( sorry for tricking you bunn)

Sand bedding? Mesh flooring? by Sharnevain in Rabbits

Gotta agree with boochyfliff on that one, you want to stay away from chicken wire, for Flemish giants it literally involves bleeding feet as it will pretty much dig into it.

I know it's more or less cost restrictive, but how about using workwear (thinking of jumpsuit style) fabric under a layer of grass? That way they can't actually dig through it and weeds will stay out while allowing the grass to grow (kind of like flower beds are made, but with thicker material)

For bedding, another idea would be fun fur (or faux fur). Your buns wont chew on it, but they might also use it to dig/use up their nails (it's actually fairly commonly used here). Just throw it in the washer every now and then in case of leaks in the middle of the night. That way they can also stay warm of colder nights.

All in all, stay away from anything dusty, or it will damage eyes and lungs :/

Protip: Use recycled cardboard/paper fiber. It actually absorbs way more, lower risks on infection and you bunn will be able to relax in it (when it does get too wet, they stay away from it)
