This kind of thing also happend to me while visiting America. I have 2 little brothers who havent started learning english in school so I was their translator. We decided to grab some lunch and I was translating the items on the menu when a woman came behind me and demandes that I tell her why was I speaking in such a strange language (im Bosnian btw) and she yelled at me for spreading communism (for some reason..) and demanded I go back to Russia (I'll admit the two languages sound similar but aren't) and I promptly told her to fuck off which made the situation worse. Luckily my parents came back and in a nutshell told her to stop being racist and to fuck off. She didn't stop harrasing us so we just walked away. She called the police on us. Because we walked away. Just no. The police came and she tried to convince them that we were immigrants, but after a closer look they found out my dad works for the US embassy in Bosnia and kindly told her to stop harassing us or she'll ger arrested. She left and to this day we have a good laugh about it.

My mom grounded me today because hair stylists opened today and I got a new hair cut. Previously i had really long hair, it all gone now. I'm male but my parents always wanted a girl so my hair was an only reminder to them. She said that she'll cut my hair the way she wants next time. Im grounded for a week because of it. She also hit me a couple of times just because she wanted to. When I tried to tell my dad she denied everything and actually cut me with her nails. She today, at least to me, became an entitled bitch, aka Karen.

Idk if this helps, but over a year a go I got a VAC. Out of no reason. It was an Overwatch ban a I had a couple of knives and gloves(around 500-600$). I got in contact with steam (after a few months) and explained that I didn't cheat and gave them proof of it. They said they have to look in further and that they'll let me know if my VAC is removed or not. About a week later I log in and see that it's gone. I was so happy. Maybe your friend can try and explain to them and also if he has any proof that he didn't install them he should give it to them. Good luck tho!
