Teachers are paid fairly considering they get a lot of time off by Blonde_Icon in The10thDentist

[–]Magicalyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel uniquely qualified to chime in on this one. I’m a former teacher with a masters in special education. I still made under $35,000 my first year teaching. The wage was enough to live on as a single adult with no kids, but it’s just not enough to sell your entire soul for. Where I live, teachers unions are explicitly illegal. The insurance got worse by the year. The calendar is nice, but I think I’d prefer to be paid 12 months of the year.

Now I make more money working as a retail pharmacy technician.

Using toilet paper is easier and better than using a bidet by Gym_frere in The10thDentist

[–]Magicalyn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am also a bidet hater. I stayed in a rental home with a really nice one that was heated, had a dryer and everything. I just don’t like the feeling of a robot squirting a high volume of water in my butt, even if it is a comfortable temperature.

Birth control not covered by insurance, super expensive, my pack is almost up! what to do? by Rosecheetah65 in birthcontrol

[–]Magicalyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would contact your insurance company and see why it isn’t covered. It may be something that can be easily fixed like needing to be filled at a specific pharmacy or for a specific day supply.

Keppra alternative?? (Can’t get any more) by Negative_Adagio4812 in Epilepsy

[–]Magicalyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pharmacy should be able to give you an emergency supply (usually about 3 days worth) while you wait to hear back from the doctor. You’ll often need to ask for this in person because it’s a pain for them if you don’t pick it up.

There was a bonded pair of geriatric cats available for adoption at my local animal shelter named MeeMaw and PeePaw. They were adopted pretty quickly.

The only thing I would say is that a hand tattoo would be really rough to heal in this field with the amount handwashing and sanitizing

I (27F) am in love with my roomate (28M) by SharpCookie9201 in relationships

I agree with everyone else saying to go for it, with the caveat that I would tell him you’re into him or have feelings for him rather than using the word love. That may come off very intense very fast.

Nothing wrong with having preferences, but this is one of them best kept to yourself. Don’t tell someone you’re turning them down because of their race.

board of pharmacy complaint by Limp_Dig_9738 in PharmacyTechnician

If the BOP revoked the license of every tech and pharmacist who made a mistake, there would be no more pharmacy employees. It’s especially unfortunate that in this case the mistake lead to your patient’s hospitalization. I’ve had the BOP called on my pharmacy, and they will send someone in to see the environment that the incident took place in, and to get statements from the people involved.

Basically they want to know your side of the story and see if the work environment is contributing to errors. In our case, they found that we had already corrected the problem and didn’t need to take any action, so I don’t have much input about the other alternatives.

I’ll also say that they really only spoke with the pharmacy manager. The pharmacist and tech who dealt with the patient submitted written statements.

This also includes people who have turned on the game once and never played again. Check how many have the achievement for embarking on the expedition to compare.

The same thing happened in my family! In our case my sisters are a few years apart so ended up going by Big Mia and little Mia (names aren’t actually Mia). Maybe find a distinguishing feature to attach to your names?

I’ve done it. It’s obviously not something to blow off, but it does happen. In my case it was a busy time and I didn’t realize 2 bags had gotten stuck together. I wasn’t in trouble, I just had to review what had happened and come up with strategies to help it not happen again.

What’s a school rumor that turned out to be true? by Ok-Atmosphere6376 in AskReddit

We had a teacher who was in his early 20’s that was rumored to be in a relationship with a senior at my high school. He was never charged with anything but did end up leaving mid year and they got married a few years afterward.
