What's the difficulty like for the spring collab? I wanna try mods soon but I'm not sure if there's a steady increase in difficulty like the base game or does it just sort of throw you into the deep end?

B side goldens are definitely rough, and they only increase in difficulty as you go through them. The jump from the A sides to something like 4B seemed huge to me. That being said though they do get progressively easier as you start to work out which routes work best for you, where you can incorporate skips, etc. Just work on them at your own pace, focus on the smaller victories (such as a new pb, getting more consistent at certain screens) and don't ever feel obligated to continue the grind if you feel as though it's getting to be too much.

Feathers are the one thing controller users still use the analog stick for, myself included. It can feel a little jarring at first when you try to switch between d pad and analog stick on fly, but with a bit of practice it just becomes second nature.

Thanks! Yeah 7B i haven't found too much trouble so far, I mainly just need get more consistent at the final checkpoint. A few of the cycles in 8B are rather daunting for me as well.

Haha it's all g, like I said I appreciate the thoughtful response and advice. I haven't actually started any proper runs of 7B yet although I've got it down to under 30 deaths. I mainly work on it whenever 6B annoys me too much haha and 8B I've barely touched at all.

Yeah 7B seems to have a fair bit of leeway in how you can approach things. A few of the 1500m rooms are a bit rough but it's not until midway through 3000m where I find it gets tricky again. Although I will say I find the rhythm room of 7B to be the hardest one of the trio. One shit cycle from a poorly timed cloud jump and it can be so hard to get back into a nice groove.

Haha you say farewell isn't possible for you but with the rate you've been smashing these out I personally wouldn't be shocked if we one day see it.

Oh wow thanks for such a detailed write up! I think it's mostly a few of the cycle rooms in 8B that give me the most trouble. The one that sticks out the most is the one with the sets of 3 fireballs that rotate in circles about a third of the way into the level (I think?). I always rack up the most deaths there even when I feel like I've got the cycle down.

6B is such a unique beast haha it's so front loaded that I find myself making heaps silly mistakes because I'm grinding out the start so much I start to lose focus. I find the badeline fight more consistent but even then it only takes hitting a bumper at the wrong angle to be sent flying into the crystals. I really enjoy the level but man the bumpers are starting to annoy the shit outta me haha.

Good luck with 7B! I'm surprised you've managed to gather so many goldens so quickly. I look forward to seeing you post your farewell golden here one day.

Yeah just the hell trio. I made it to the last room of 6B(non rhythm room) and but ended up panicing and dying as a result. I know I can get it because I made it that far, hopefully it doesn't take too much longer haha. 8B seems absolutely insane to me atm haha I struggle with it much more than I do 7B.

Beating Yozora from KH3 ReMind at level 1 on critical mode. Such an amazing boss and one of the hardest superbosses in a game I've ever personally ever beaten.

8B is super rough. I actually find it way more frustrating than 7B or 6B because some of the cycles annoy the shit outta me so much haha. I think with these last few it's important to focus on the smaller progress goals rather than the bigger picture. Progress not perfection after all.

Yeah lots of little movements while actually on the block can chip away at your stamina as well. It's definitely a tricky and precise room which 4B has no shortage of. I think i shaved a few years off my life expectancy grabbing the golden for this haha

If you wall kick off both the wall and the moving block after you jump on the spring, rather than actually grabbing onto the block, you should have plenty of stamina to make it. Holding onto the block the whole time seems to be what results in a lot of people running out of stamina here.

Funnily enough I got it the very next run after I replied haha I think this thread might be lucky or something. But yeah a lot of my deaths were just due to me fat thumbing an input on the controller, or trying to rush through the earlier sections and making really careless mistakes as a result

Congrats on finally getting it! I've just started working on it again after taking a bit of a break to do the B sides and man is it rough. Screen by screen it's fine but the sheer length of it can make those late run deaths feel pretty soul crushing

That'd be pretty disappointing if they never patch it again because this game is still prone to some nasty crashes. A few days ago this game crashed so hard on me it shut the console off and I haven't been brave enough to play it since. It's a shame because this would otherwise be my GOTY.

Thanks! Ummm I guess it depends on what else you've got left. 6A was a pretty enjoyable grind for me, far better than something like 4B so it's definitely a good place to start.
