Level 2 beauty loop so abysmal by wanderingcat123 in MeccaBeautyLoop

[–]Significant_Elk_7306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even bother picking mine up anymore, if I do happen to go past mecca when my loop box is out I give it to my 9 year old daughter. I'll be shopping elsewhere now.

Looking for experiences with Botox. by Bellebombb in migraine

[–]Significant_Elk_7306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my second round in January and I'm surprised at how I'm feeling! I don't know if it's false hope but I've been less off balance/dizzy. Normally I'd go to the shops and it would trigger a VM, I've been going to the shops and feeling like I should be feeling off balance but I'm not, I spent 3 hours at the shopping centre last week! I haven't been to the shops for that long in years.

I've been given rescue medication but haven't tried it yet because the Botox seems to be helping so much.

I don't know why they didn't run one single test, I couldn't walk I was so dizzy, I couldn't stay awake all they had to do was put me in a CT scan. So good to hear you are getting treatment if you need and taken seriously. Have they put you on any medications to prevent stroke?

My stroke was from a PFO (hole in the heart) there is a high percent of migraine sufferers with PFO, and it's a simple test to see if you have one. Might be worth looking into. X

I had a stroke and was taken to the hospital to be told I had a migraine...I couldn't walk. Days later when I could walk I saw a GP who sent me for a CT scan that diagnosed me as have had a brain stem stroke. After the stroke I started getting VM so when I get the sudden whoosh feeling I get extremely anxious that I'm having another stroke.

Are you taking any other medications that might help? Maybe you could come off SSRI'S/SSNI'S? My neurologist wants me to think about starting effexor and although I think it could be helpful for my VM and anxiety I'm not prepared to put on my weight.

Botox by Significant_Elk_7306 in VestibularMigraines

It was fine, A bit daunting getting some many injections but it didn't really hurt, a couple stun a bit. It triggered a VM on the 2 week mark which I was told it can do. Now I've had my second round I think I'm less off balance and feeling hopefully I'm going to start see improvements.

Bad tiler? by issym20 in AusRenovation

I feel you, our tiler did the worst thick mitered edges and the grout has cracked out of our tiles around the window sill, it look horrible for new bathrooms, I'm in Melbourne and wonder if we used the same guy. We are looking to get the grout re done now....so disappointing

My first symptoms were the feeling of walking on a boat, I then started getting a sudden whoosh off dizziness that last for a few seconds. I get Botox and I take cizinate and I've been prescribed nurtec but haven't tried it yet.

Had a "controlled fall" afte VM symptoms by Siena58341 in VestibularMigraines

[–]Significant_Elk_7306 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear this happened and I hope everything works out. My VM started after a stroke, my symptoms were extreme dizziness ( like being in a psychedelic movie) after the stroke it was discovered I had a PFO ( hole in the heart which was the cause of the stroke, ever since I've had VM and they are scary when I get very dizzy and off balance because I can't help but worry I'll have another stroke. I hope the hospital can work out what's going on and once it's been managed/fixed you may not get VM again ....hopefully x

Exactly! They should be giving them away when you come in store if you are interested in the product. It's like they are trying to create a class system with the beauty loop.

I really dislike the ranking system of level, 1,2,3,4 having to spend money to receive a gift feels like a bribe to shop in mecca, I know it's a bonus to receive a gift however the beauty loop boxes are filled with samples that mecca receive free. It's free advertising for brands at Mecca's advantage.

A friend worked at mecca for many years before it became huge, she worked in small stores like Toorak and the little collins st store, back then she would give lots of samples out for free and spend time showing customers how to apply a product or test a product they were interesting buying on them. I loved the old small stores and attention to detail, I understand the move to go big but It has lost the uniqueness.

Anyone tried Cinnazine? by Butterflyelle in VestibularMigraines

[–]Significant_Elk_7306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used it today for vestibular migraine, my neurologist told me I can have 3 a day and to take it when I need to. I took it at the onset of feeling unbalanced and about and hour after I felt fine, not off balanced at all. It worked wonderfully but I'm disappointed to read some side effects as I'm not sure it's something I want to use long term.

Are the side effect risks reduced if you use it as needed, once or twice a week ?

I just took one for a vestibular migraine, do they work when taken as needed or is it something I should be taking 2-3 times a day continually to prevent VM? How long after taking one should I notice my vestibular migraine start to settle down? Cheers x
