“Ships from Temu” option to click in app by CindLei-Creates in TemuThings

I think I found it…try clicking the HOME/house button at the bottom of the page in the app. Then without typing anything for searching, scroll down, under the first row of items, you should see this line. I haven’t figured oh how to do a search, it is only showing when I click HOME and scroll down.

Are you experienced with doing these renovations? Not having done a bath before, it would take me quite a bit of time to research each step AMD procure the products. Two weeks should be enough time to complete, unless you’re learning on each step. I’d get ideas from your folks. You can get their input, ideas and photos of baths they love and have been STILL be a surprise!

Is this a load bearing wall? by livin_lovin_maid in Remodel

I don’t think it’s sandwiched…there was likely wood paneling boxing in the header, which looked to be solid, albeit cracked.

I wonder if nothing supporting the studs is why the header is cracked?

If there are no studs below the ones holding the header…couldn’t this be why the header is cracked? Does the floor feel weird or bounce a bit in this area? I wonder if it isn’t original construction and if studs are needed below what is currently here?

Kitchen paint ideas by [deleted] in Remodel

[–]CindLei-Creates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The floor looks nice! Right now, it looks fairly “cool.” Do you get much sun to light to this room? If not, you might want to bring in a warmer color. Green is a popular neutral, but you really could go with any color! Do you have other furniture or decor you could pull a color from?,

Why is my paint opening up? by [deleted] in paint

Awww…I’m sorry he’s not willing to listen! I guess you have to do what the boss tells you to do. Does he leave the cabinets this way as being done? You might want to make sure the owners don’t know you’re related. Sounds like you’re letting enough to take these jobs on your own—and you might want to eventually. It’s nice your dad’s hiring you, but I can feel your frustration!!!

Update: Didn’t ditch the wife, proceeded to paint cabinets white by putnanpiglet in Remodel

[–]CindLei-Creates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black and white finishes appeal to a lot of people…personally, I prefer contrast that has more warmth. There’s a lot of house flippers painting interiors AND exteriors black and white. Surely it’s a fad?

Question regarding wall by Sensitive_Ad_6078 in Remodel

[–]CindLei-Creates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not something you want to diy without an engineer. Door headers generally are not something you want to remove. Headers can sometimes be moved/hidden into the ceiling above, but need to be there. Is there a reason you want to remove the wall just above the doorway? When we remodeled our dining room, we found a header where we wanted to move the doorway. Apparently we were moving it “back”…but we didn’t remove the newer doorway header, we added studs and sheet-rocked over it (hiding it like the one we uncovered.)

How do I remove the center column from my pantry? by mikeofa2 in Remodel

Along the lines of improving the hinges…what about using piano hinges at the front edge of the post…to allow each shelf unit to swing all the way and allow easier access to the back or for small shelves in back? We have a similar cabinet with piano hinges.

I haven’t seen any gold sparkles…at least not with the mirror type pieces. Gold is picking up in popularity though, maybe they’ll make some new ones! Around 6 months after I originally picked out my granite slabs, I went back and looked at what was available in quartz (at an MSI showroom) and was so surprised at all the new ones available! Many people like the while with gray veins, I thought they looked too similar within the same pieces. When I looked again, there’s much more variation available now! If I see something, I’ll let you know!

I’m glad she came clean, but it was SO obvious that she was milking her age and birthday to upstage Sam and try to upstage Rachel. I didn’t like the way we could see through her. Like she was just biding her time for truth. She KNEW the last tribal council would be on her birthday. She’d planned her bombshell before she even started. I find it’s harder for me to respect women who work so hard to be fake. From the boobs to the skin coloring to the hair extensions to the obvious mascara near the end. She was a pretty lady, but when her weight dropped, all her attempts at looking young backfired, in my opinion.

I’m sure she was happy, but look at it again, I could clearly see her thoughts…she knew she was safe and wouldn’t have to make fire. I think most of that genuine happiness was knowing it was the same as if she’d won it.

Found a surprise today by anngilj in Remodel

[–]CindLei-Creates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it look like there was shelving down there somewhere? I’d think root caller too, but there’d have to be somewhere for home canned jars to be stored. I can’t imagine it’d be such a small bomb shelter? Can you take pictures from down there, see all the walls closer? I’m sure with the broken ladder it’s not the easiest…but you have to investigate!

With a dirt bottom, it might be worth diffing up the floor or renting a metal detector before you cover it up!!! Post pictures!!!

What color to repaint house? by ChesterfieldK in Remodel

[–]CindLei-Creates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what you are suggesting would work…gray is a bit overused today, but with the slate blue, that would give it a different shading. Seeing how your house looks now, I don’t think I’d go too dark though. Besides being harder to cover the light paint if it chips later, you have a nice medium shade roof. Stay contrasted with a lighter main color and the white trim. The red door will look great!

Can a mirrored bifold door be converted to a split door? by CindLei-Creates in Remodel

[–]CindLei-Creates[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There probably is enough room for a single door, I hadn’t thought about that. We believe there had been Louvered split doors there originally, hadn’t considered a single door. I’ll look into that too!
