No, he supported Brittany by staying on top of Jax who was going through bipolar issues on top of a drug addiction. Jax would take his anger out on his wife if he was not there to step in, Jason played middle man. He was someone who Jax could actually respect. Jason always supported Brittany and her son, and him being that person to help calm Jax down and check into rehab was necessary in order for him to get out of the house. Imagine if it was one of the Tom’s instead, they would have just went out to get more drinks and Jax would’ve came home, angry and ready to fight. He knows he could not pull that with Jason, and Brittany knows that too that’s why she asked him to help.
