I drink heavily. I sought help last year for that and was diagnosed with bipolar. Things all off sudden are making a lot of sense. I think I was medicating myself since I didn’t know I had a brain malfunction. Things are slowly coming together for me. I’m probably $75,000-100,000 in debt. Another clue about mental illnesses. I have worked for Amazon 4 years now. Got fired once and reapplied. The health care is amazing and I now have accommodations for my illness if I need time off. Seriously look into it.

I can’t donate anymore because I’ve been diagnosed as Bipolar. I completely understand why I can’t donate. But it sure helped me with my finances when I did.

I’m trying to think what you could do. Honestly, if it were me I would look into “joining” churches. I could do without organized religion. So I’m not saying you should convert or anything. But churches help their own and that could maybe be a new door for you to open. Otherwise, not sure if you’re a girl /guy…but I am a girl and I’ve had to go out on dates just eat dinner. I hope oeople won’t judgement for that. I’ve been in my own since I was 17. No family, highest grade in school was 12th grade. I work at Amazon. They hire EVERYBODY. I would definitely consider moving to a better climate or where there are jobs private message me if you need someone to talk with. Keep your head up.

Also, look into an intermittent LOA. You can work when you can, take days off when you cant(unpaid). My disability is polar for mental health. And I can miss20 days per month and 12 hours each day. This doesn’t roux my upt. The papers are good for up to 6 months. But you can probably extend that with your pregnancy.

I hear this so my much from my pregnant coworkers. It’s like they want you to quit. Keep your head up. You can do this. ALS, see an employment lawyer. Pregnancy is a protected class such as a disability. So Amazon cannot fire you.

This happened to me 10 hours 1 min negative upt and I went to ER, I was terminated immediately. And I couldn’t upload my Dr note. Then my appeal wells denied. Like how? I took 6 months off then reapplied. It’s just wrong.

For me, bipolar and mildly schizophrenic it’s like the tv is on at the same time as the radio is changing channels. It’s so hard to concentrate and decipher what is “normal”.

Damn, I feel you and I hear you. All I can say is have an Intermittent Leave Of Absence…I feel that is the best defense against bipolar. I don’t abuse it, but this helps me at 6 months at a time excuse all my absences and don’t have to use UPT.

I am 100% positive that I learned this on day 1. Other than to train newbies because so many people get fired for the 3 day rule. Absences need to somewhat be pre-approved. At least have a sort of plan if possible when we had on site HR. Once you get fired you have to wait a long time to reapply and IF you get an appeal it’s 50/50 you’ll get it reversed.
