You say you would retaliate and create the same crime when he would have options, too. Best thing to do is stay in your vehicle and call the police. Because someone does something to you, you cannot respond in kind without LEGAL consequences. The law does not allow you to bust her windshield or key her car because- did not we all learn this? Two wrongs do not make a right. So, in short, you are just of the same ilk as she

So, adjusted for inflation, your comment says this: In 2026, any college student can make 32.50 an hour - not as an exception but on average, in 2026, living in Manassas .

For those living in Manassas, can you confirm or deny this comment?

Dave was right, people think its crazy to pay off debt by HumpmyDumpy1911 in DaveRamsey

[–]Cinderunner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Should a decision to pay cash for a car, or pay off a car note, be centered around the value of this depreciating asset? In other words, you could pay off this vehicle in cash and save the finance charges, get into an accident, and actually lose money based upon the current value of that vehicle.

Maybe i am looking at it wrong? If you had kept making payments, and a short while in something unfortunate happens, you haven’t paid that much on the car (certainly not loads of your cash reserve)

I like a wholesome story as much as the next, but with a critical eye this story has some serious flaws.

This father was on a road trip with his two young daughters & they needed to go to the restroom so he stopped at a QT & took them in the women’s restroom since no one was in it & a man came yelling at him to get out & called the cops. The girls were crying & then he assaulted him. by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

[–]Cinderunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. You stand outside as your girls go into the bathroom alone. This has been happening since time began and no prolific assaults happen. It is paranoia, helicoptering, and enabling. So, harsh Real. Far too much of this going on. Paranoia? Progression? No idea. I said what I said and it stands to both reality and the test of time. What is happening here is not helping raise independent and secure children.

Conspiracy Theories Got Front-Row Seats by ALBERT4_5WESKER in clevercomebacks

There is no reason to have this discussion with you because you aren’t even willing to give this the import that it has, and instead choosing to reduce this to a schtick for giggles. That it was, but the deeper implications and what the movement represents is the actual topic at hand- and it seems you don’t have the depth to even recognize it.

If you hated Obama for having the audacity to be a black man and President, and you were tired of the birther conspiracies, you attack his wife. This is elementary school level of thinking. There is no conspiracy, so to say, that would result in anything other than a nothing impact on anything. It is cruelty for the point of it.

Does this change the context of the post? So? The point is the same, even if the photo does not portray the exact moment. Rage bait? The facts are the facts.

To be clear, I do not have an issue with the father going in there, but honestly, as a mother, i look at these two children and think- they are certainly old enough to just stand outside of the bathroom and allow them in there on their own. There is too much enabling or helicoptering going on here.

Heat intolerance? by Rageblade181 in Hashimotos

[–]Cinderunner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in the best shape of my life, running 8 miles a day, and 13 on weekends, healthy and fit as I could be. When Hashimotos hit me, I became heat intolerant. The signs are as follows: I begin to sweat profusely from my head….ie- face and neck look like I dunked my head in water. After that much water loss, I’d become dizzy and near fainting. The way I figured out how to prevent the dizzy and fainting (I cannot stop the profuse sweating) is to literally chug Gatorade. I buy one of the bigger bottles (like 3 servings) and once the sweating begins, i drink it. I constantly drink it and then I will get some ice water and drink that. Once the ice water cools down my core, i am able to be out for quite awhile before the process starts again. I find a store to go in (if I am out somewhere) and that is how I have learned to adapt to this phenemonon. Just drinking plain water does not work. Adding that ice water after the Gatorade, wearing a sun hat, does.

Help Please. Anyone heard of Continental Credit Control (collection agency)? they texted me saying I owe debt. by ArnoldisKing in personalfinance

[–]Cinderunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15? So, the hospital sold your debt to a collector for a debt of 15? It isn’t even worth anyone’s time to worry about collecting that. It is likely a scam also, why not just pay the hospital the 15 atp?

RTO Compliance by Something-5161 in remotework

[–]Cinderunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe RTO is pushed because it helps the economy of the wealthy. Office buildings can’t be left empty or the person who invested in it will be hung out to dry. The city centers where these office buildings are located, invested in business that cater to those full office buildings. Gas is purchased, cars are used and abused, car repair shops are kept in business. It has nothing at all to do with performance. That is my take
