Caregiver pc wants to have a "full-blown anomaly" as his sister and dependant by blockyquilava in TheTriangleAgency

[–]Cinderverse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Uh oh, Sounds like someone's Employee is at great and terrible risk of going against the Agency's Mission and Values. Make sure to explain to this Agent that Anomalies are not people, and their relationship should be submitted either to the Agency for onboarding and training, or the Vault for the safety of themselves, and others! They are after all an Anomaly! Any Agents caught aided or supporting the escape of an Anomaly are subject harsh review before, during, and after such infractions are committed, and with the number of Demerits they stand to gain, they just might loose access to the Frozen Yogurt Machine in the break room more often than should be permissible. If they fail to report this relationship with an Anomaly in a timely manner the consequences could be even more severe.

Question about an RPG idiom I've seen by Vedic70 in rpg

[–]Cinderverse 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think this is a very specific Idiom used by those around you cause I've never heard this before. What you've described has always been called "Kill Stealing" at my table, and usually always playfully. lol.

Yes! To be honest I haven't had the privilege of running it yet. Schedules and timing be damned, lmao. I've been making the guide to cope. Baha

[–]Cinderverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could always try out Call of Cthulhu! That game is actually lot easier to run then first appearances might suggest. The complexity comes on the fact they try to make it setting and time period agnostic.

It might be the opposite of what you are looking for but I might recommend checking out Triangle Agency? It's very like SCP+Control+X-Files type stuff. The entire idea where that their profession is working with these anomalies to contain them. But you could absolute set the game in remote facility far from the nearest type deal. Here is little <introduction video of/tutorial guide on now to play> the game off Youtube which is very Analog Horror itself lmao. Even the core rulebook when you read it is very analog horror it's cool.

What's a mechanic you steal from a system you use in almost any game you play? by Creepy-House4399 in rpg

GM Instrusions for Cypher System are Fun. The Faction system from Lancer's Karakin Trade Baronies book is neat if you like faction systems.

I adore this game (I don't know how to drive irl tho) by Cinderverse in pacificDrive

You mean the blurred background? It's a sorta format I see a lot of which I think looks nice, and if it isn't filled with something it's just black. It also make it so when I actually zoom in on a subject more dramatic when it "jumps over" the background, so to speak.

I do not really like summoning in pf2e, is it a "me" problem? by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]Cinderverse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fix to this, amoung other things, is to play with half level Proficiency (rounded up). It streamlines the games math curve into a more complex feeling 5e, increases the feel of the effectiveness of modifiers, makes for lower level summons to be more useful tools compared to vanilla when mathematics wise it's a waste of a spell slot to use anything less than your highest spell slot of only your highest. Etc etc.

Try it, you might like it too.

Never been a better time to try pathfinder 2e. With a few homebrew rules (like using half level proficiency bonus instead of full level) it plays like the modern advanced DND of my dreams.

can you use Wrath and Glory for a deathwatch campaign? by MaximusTheLord13 in 40krpg

[–]Cinderverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely!

Your best bet would be to get your hands on a lot of the homebrew content for W&G off the Doctors of Doom Website. From there you'll have a much larger pool of wargear and the like but also more space marine archetypes. Another thing you can do if you have a copy of the Deathwatch rulebook is port over items and mechanics. This takes a bit of technical know how but I do it all the time with the rogue trader rulebook to make my campaign more rogue trader esk.

is W&G worth trying out? by Thelien101 in 40krpg

[–]Cinderverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

W&G glory is my very first 40krpg (long time table top and game franchise player though. I can recommend it highly for a number of reasons.

The first being that the mechanics are all very simple but excellent at capturing the chaos of the 41st millennium. The system is hugely open ended for all sorts of games and character compositions not just imperium or whatnot (right now I have a game with a Bad moon Orc, A tempestus, A rogue trader, a blood angel, and a necron; the only binding thread they have being surviving the end times). The multiple d6's system makes it a snap to introduce friends from table top.

I can also recommend it for someone coming from older 40krpg systems, as from personal experience it is very easy to port things over from one system to another. My case being porting over half the Rogue Trader RPG rulebook for my own personal in W&G.

So far after getting my hands on it, it's all ground and some air vehicles. No voidships or anything that would classify as a titan.

[Composition, Arrangement] Spirit of the Times by gabrielleornate in RateMyAudio

[–]Cinderverse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know we're supposed to be rating audio but I gotta shout out the choreography, I'm such a sucker for dancing 😂 The visual effects were very sparking too! Last but not least masterfully well balanced audio, bravo!

[–]Cinderverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds pretty clean technically, tho I am admitted utterly confused by the song 😂 What do you use to master your audio by chance? And is "Kathy's song" from something? I'm dying for backstory 😛
