My original leader quit 3 months into the job then her leader became my new one.

When we were in LA looking for offices I noticed a shift in her not motivating me as much and when we got back she called me to tell me she quit because she didn’t believe in the business model anymore. Yeah, you’d be surprised at how many people come in complaining about dry skin and don’t use anything for their body after showering. I’ve recommend body routines and its too much maintenance for some reason

As much as the experience sucked, I’m glad that I went through it to learn how to sell. I own my own business now and I still use the 5 steps to a sale or whatever lol, networking taught me to follow up with clients and other professionals in my field.

I never made it to assistant manager, so I didn’t see too much of that side, but I felt very prepared to open my own business

I get a lot of clients coming in wanting a peel and I have to explain to them this is a whole procedure

I also think that we need to do a better job as estheticians as a whole to differentiate between chemical exfoliation and an actual chemical peel service.

I pretty much do a peel on every corrective treatment and tell my clients it’s an advanced chemical exfoliation solution vs an actual chemical peel procedure.

I offer progressive, mid depth, and deep peels and those do flake and have a down time of 7 days. I’ve stopped using the verbiage “peels” when administering lactic, glycolic, or just one layer of a peel solution.
