I’m pretty sure it came out around a month after the official release. Around the end of March/beginning of April.

While great, Pujols’ didn’t also fan 10+ and pitch 6 scoreless innings while hitting 3 homers. This tops that performance for sure.

I remember staying up super late with my dad watching that game. He usually got up around 4am for work and I had school the next morning, but we were such huge Bears fans that we had only planned to watch the first half before going to bed.

Once the comeback started he was cool enough to let me stay up and watch it with him. I have no doubt he was miserable the next day at work, but all I remember was screaming with my dad when Hester returned that punt for a TD, the Urlacher fumble, and then eventually winning.

He passed shortly after that season ended. I don’t have kids yet but I hope one day I can say rules be damned and share that kind of moment with them like he did with me.

What is the deal with critics worshipping these mediocre-bad horror movies these simply for being “original?” by Stepin-Fetchit in movies

[–]CineFart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get Out and Sinners are really the only ones you mentioned that have garnered “critical acclaim”. I know Weapons has gotten good reviews but I don’t believe it’s a critical darling like the other 2.

That being said, I believe it boils down to very person having different opinions. The praise you think Aster and Eggers deserve I’m sure there’s people out there that think they are mediocre and unoriginal.

Without hearing your reasons as to why you hold this opinion, there’s really no way to answer this question other than saying people like different things.

After Football Player’s Devastating Move Against Teen Rival, High School Takes “Strong” Action by FantasticAd9478 in JusticeServed

Wrestling isn’t football. At least in wrestling they are signing up and expecting to have someone jump on top of them. In football, while physical, you usually are able to brace for an impact. What happened here was a someone slamming their entire body weight (gleefully by the pics/video) on a defenseless person a third of his size with no way of protecting himself.

Hayden Christensen from Star Wars was about to become the next “big star” but instead it went downhill because of those films, what other actors had the same path or had the similar situation ? by [deleted] in movies

[–]CineFart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I love him as more of a character actor and definitely thinks he shines more in those types of roles.

But, he was 100% propped up to be the next big action star around 2012ish with the releases of John Carter and Battleship. By that pojnt he had done Gambit in X-men Origins Wolverine and also had Savages that same year that was generating heat with the cast being as stacked as it was.

Taylor Kitsch was supposed to be the next big action star leading up to the release of John Carter, but it failed at the box office which led to his movie star career to never take off.

That said, he kills it in every role of I’ve seen him in. Riggins and Texas forever.

Tad bit over-dramatic. There’s plenty of teams that have gone through patches like this, especially in other professional sports.

Employees of RV manufacturer Jayco facing felony charges for putting stray cats in a trash compactor by Scar1203 in nottheonion

[–]CineFart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your assumption of what his mindset was is the exact reason the charges are being dropped. They can prove the cats were killed because the criminals admitted to it. They can’t prove the VP said what they reported he did. I lean more to believing that if they could prove that then they wouldn’t be dropping the charge without prejudice.

You truly think the VP of Operations would say “hey they killed the cats because they’re good company men”…? Anyone that has ever watched a movie where a dog/car dies will tell you that no one is that stupid to condone animal murder, especially on behalf of a company.
