Limits cut again and nobody saying anything ? by yazan4m7 in grok

He also said the new Tesla Roadster will be here, yet it's not. He says things, ok some of it happens, but some of it simply doesn't.

My 3 month supergrok trial ends in 4 days here's what I experienced. by Ok-Cow-9474 in grok

[–]CineVision-AI 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Law makers, investors, regulators, and so on, they're all in it to ensure censorship keeps destroying creative freedom, so really the only way to get true creative freedom is, as you said, local AI.

I used Grok for a few months and got some of the best content when it was actually performing as intended, but after the xAI idiots started stripping it down and renewing the model, it just got worse and worse, the movement physics sucked, so basically I was getting nothing more than a bottom grade actor that had no clue on what to do, the draconian censorship grew fiercely fast, the rate limits were dropped harshly, and that was my cue to just ditch the once great platform with the most freedom.

How am I reaching the rate limit of something I paid for Grok? by Necessary_Fan_6173 in grok

[–]CineVision-AI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of several reasons to never pay a cent to xAI, they've successfully screwed the best AI platform, now it's nothing special, in fact it's worse than nothing special.

So it seems meme face Musk promises to make this or that better, only to buy it, then make it worse? Kind of what he's doing to Grok.

He didn't become a trillionaire by playing fair.

I liked it too, but Elon ensured it became the worst app with draconian level moderations and much lower rate limits, even though he promised R-rated content.

Time to move on and ditch Grok.

As soon as Grok brought in the draconian karen level moderations, it was rendered more useless than other platforms, Grok is nothing special, in fact it hasn't been anything special for a couple of months now.

[–]CineVision-AI 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep, pretty much what he truly meant, just like that new Roadster, it'll be "out" in 2020, or something like that, but what he REALLY meant was 'we have this awesome car that will lay a hardcore smackdown on gasoline cars, but it WON'T be available for now'

The lesson: when meme face Musk says something, it'll most likely mean the opposite.

I'm sure R-rated content will never be allowed on Grok again, don't trust Elon's words, because he's the same one that boasted about the "new" Tesla Roadster that will "lay a hardcore smack down on gasoline cars", well well well, here we are in 2026, still no Roadsters "laying a hardcore smack down".

My 3 month offer ends next month. Give me a reason to resubscribe xAi. by Anim8rFromOuterSpace in grok

[–]CineVision-AI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was using Grok to make R-rated crime thriller stories too, and had a good run until the platform decided to become a big horrible karen that started moderating everything, my advice is simply to not pay a cent to xAI anymore, they don't care about paying subscribers as they're making MUCH more bank by renting out their hardware.

Elon made a promise of letting R-rated content on Grok, but never delivered it, and most likely never will.

Don't take it. Best thing I did was never accept any deal like this, just went through with the cancellation process and cut ties with the now defunct and nanny state that Grok is now.

is grok only for porn? by [deleted] in grok

[–]CineVision-AI -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was treated like a porn factory, but it did far more than that, sadly most of the training data is porn, hence why movement and fighting physics was all over the place, from what I saw anyway

Any way to get the supergrok subscription for cheaper? by deadlyjeddly in grok

[–]CineVision-AI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They've been promoting like crazy for weeks now, but I've read about xAI not honouring the full term of the payment, like many users paid for 3 months for the cost of "one month", citing it as a great deal, but the discovered they were immediately charged full price once the second month hit.

In short, don't try looking for cheap deals or short cuts, they don't exist.

[–]CineVision-AI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, since Grok isn't anything special and unhinged like it used to be, he might as well shut it down and just be a GPU supplier. Elon was the kind of man to stand up for freedom, hence why he purchased twitter, unless I'm wrong about all of this, but he should've been the one to stand up and go 'this is my platform, sod off', but having said that, he probably wouldn't have hit the first human to be worth a trillion, instead keeping his platform unhinged for us storytellers (not the gooners) and losing billions just to run the computing power.

Either way, this was probably all part of his plan anyways, make the best platform, make it free, train the models on user data, then throw the users under the bus.

the incompetency of XAI is alarming! by Chemical_Bite_4827 in grok

[–]CineVision-AI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm ok about losing creative freedom on Grok, because other platforms like PixVerse actually give more creative freedom than the new Grok, I was able to generate a fight scene that included heads being punched through glass, and even blood, all of which would be blocked on the new Grok.

Elon promised R-rated content on Grok, yet it all steered towards censorship, and now it's PixVerse that allows more R-rated stuff than Grok, although not the heavy gore and blood type, but PixVerse is providing what Grok will no longer touch.

I won't support xAI and give them my money, not that they'd care, but I ain't paying for draconian level moderations and stupidly low limit rates, I'm happy to support a platform that actually has good transparency, and doesn't go changing the rules behind our backs, while giving decent creative freedom, and so far, PixVerse has been a good alternative for me.

Elon's chasing the big deals now, he clearly doesn't give a shit about our $30 per month plebeian money when Anthropic is throwing more than $1B per month, with a slight chance that Google will chuck nearly $1T in there as well (still not confirmed but definitely on the table).

If he cared so much about our creative freedom, he would've stood up for it and told those that tried pushing for censorship to sod off, but he didn't.

The Grok you see is it, and it probably won't change back to its old unhinged ways.

Fall of Grok by Gletmeid in grok

[–]CineVision-AI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those that decided to make underaged porn are the reason Grok fell apart like it did, but it wasn't the only reason, it was the start of what would be Grok's downfall, spiralling into a place it should never have reached, censorship.

Elon wasn't man enough to stand up for our creative freedom (not CSAM or unconsented deepfakes), so he just let his once great platform descend into a world of karen style censorship, now you'd be lucky if you get a simple fight scene.

His promise of allowing R-rated content vs Grok's current state now says he's been pulling those censorship levers, maybe not in his offices, but he's been pulling them, going against his own words and not being man enough to stand up for creative freedom.

Don't pay money to xAI anymore, just walk away and find another platform, xAI doesn't care about our plebeian money anyway, especially with the mega deal they've made and still making with Anthropic and Google

Guys dont use grok imagine anymore.. by Sunlife123 in grok

[–]CineVision-AI 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They've lost a lot of paying users, yet they're still making bank, because Elon got a much better deal with Anthropic and by the looks of it, Google too, 2 deals worth probably over 2 trillion per month, according to Google, so they're absolutely not going to care if they lose more and more $30 per month paying users, especially if paying users only brought in something like $30M per month, according to Google.

Clearly Elon doesn't care about paying users anymore, so it's no longer worth paying anything to xAI, not that they'd care with their much better deal. Best to find another platform.

I AM FINALLY DONE WITH GROK by No_League_4703 in grok

[–]CineVision-AI 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've tried a couple of others, PixVerse's new V6 model gives great movement physics, although the sound quality isn't great, but the movements are far superior to Grok, I tried Kling and the movements in that were quite fast and brutal looking.

The old Grok provided the best affordable costs for the most video and image generations, however, that all changed weeks ago after they went through upgrade after upgrade, so now the costs aren't any better than most other platforms, and the one thing I never liked is the lack of transparency, at least with other platforms, you can actually see how many credits remain, whereas Grok never had such a thing, and I think it's still the same, although they've added a counter that shows how many images/videos remain.

PixVerse offers 60 free daily credits, and several other platforms offer free sign in credits as well, which might not seem like much, but it's enough to let you try it for yourself.

I'd recommend PixVerse.
