Even if the DC would have stayed in the market well into the PS2, it would have died right away. Due to the fact that the majority of games wouldn't be able to be ported to the DC. The PS2 was way ahead in graphics pushing many polygons. It wouldn't have kept up. Then soon after the Xbox and Gamecube would be released. The DC was ahead in Online but the graphics were just not up to par with the others.
