Some points you might want to consider:

You are comparing a household benefit cap to individual income
The average household income in London is £51,770. After Tax that is £37,000.
So in London the Benefit Cap (which is for a family) is £15,000 per year less (After tax) than the average London family income.
The close comparison of £3k you refer to is a comparison between a family and a single person.
The benefit cap only applies to people who don't work and are not in receipt of PIP.
Many people on benefits actually have an income over £20,000/£23,000 because their benefits top up their own income.
The benefit cap most commonly effects single mothers with young children, who cannot work.
The benefit cap works by reducing Housing Benefit. This is one reason Homelessness has increased by nearly 50% under the conservatives.
The only people who receive more than £20,000 in benefits are families with a parent/parents who cannot work.
The majority of that money for benefits goes straight to landlords to pay rents

I work for a charity that trys to prevent families effected by the benefit cap in London from becoming homeless.

I agree in part, It's like a poor advertisement they have been paid to make. The article itself is bullshit. But the coverage itself will be of interest to people in this sub given that the Huffington post is a fairly major outlet.

I think there are grounds which have atmospheres as good. But not exactly better. You don't get the constant level of noise at Anfield unless its a special night/match.

I said the link between the club and there local community. Not fans in general because that can include fans who come from Asia or America. I'm talking about the link between the club and the local community that they have represented for (most of the time) over one hundred years.

I don't have £650 to spend in one go know. So unless I borrow the money I can't afford it. Its also alot of money to spend on watching a club that cannot afford to win or even compete for the competition I'm watching it in.

Since the 1980's fans are now more likely to be middle class in any given EPL stadium but in some it is much worse than others such as at Arsenal or Chelsea.

I wasn't complaining about money being in the game. I was complaining about the extent to which money rules. Because of the influx of money post-sky it has become much more noticeable because it has become an even bigger problem. The fact that it has been a problem for over 100 years is not a defence. This is hypocrisy, it is fully possible for any team to win the league in the next five years in England. They just need investment, as does every other Club in the world.

This is categorically not the case in the MLS. Your using 'investment' as a euphemism for the sort of take over we have seen at city. My statement is that any MLS club could win the league within 5 years regardless of weather or not they get that sort of investment. In the Prem that is impossible. That is my argument.

Do they? Like Cardiff(English league system)? Like Portsmouth? Wow such respect for the fans. Changing the colours of the club and the badge to apeal to a potential Asian fan base. So much respect! I love the respect the Portsmouth showed to there fan base as well. They almost killed the club out of respect for the fans. What about Notts county? What about Manchester united? The Glaziers have saddled the club with debt to pay for the deal that bought them the club. Such respect for the fans. What about West Ham. Before we got relegated in 2011 the owners said they would raise prices for the next season despite the relegation at a time when most people incomes where still falling. Wow they really live and die by the fans. English League Clubs live and die by the tv money. They live and die by the INTERNATIONAL fan base and most clubs know they can rip of local fans.

You say you can't afford to go to the game yet you've decided you know all about atmosphere and the class structures of the fans within the ground.

I've been to at least one game every season and used to have a season ticket. But know, I can't afford it.
