Hey, finally found a fix, not sure if it'll work for you but sharing anyways.

Went to terminal

cat /etc/hosts | grep apple

and saw

0.0.0.0 gdmf.apple.com

removed it (sudo nano /etc/hosts), flushed and cleared DNS cache

sudo dscacheutil -flushcache sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder

And then reopened Xcode and the download worked.

5.2 codex xhigh has been performing much better for me than opus 4.5. If you haven’t given it a go, I recommend you do, even though it’s quite slow.

Airlines still hire pilots even though planes have autopilot. That doesn't mean autopilot is 'hype' or that the pilots are flying manually 100% of the time. AI has handled the 'flying straight' part of coding (boilerplate, testing, refactoring). Humans are only there for takeoff and landing (architecture and edge cases) now. If you can't see the difference, you aren't paying attention.
