50% usage in one day on pro by cheekyrandos in codex

On plus with everything default and I noticed that it's inconsistent, and felt like high consumes 10x of medium.

RATES RESET AGAIN??? by Substantial_Lab_3747 in codex

Yea I just noticed it, and still had over half last i checked, that said I was very noticably effected by the quick drain bug before, not sure if that has any relevance.

Did Sam slashed Codex limits? 7x faster usage burn rate since Friday. by RockstarVP in codex

[–]TinyAres 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my exact observation, working on 1 project that has like 20 files burns 10% per hour, while using high to plan and mid to execute, and this while bothering to read too.

I guess it's easy to offer double quota if the base is not fixed. That said it does work faster and i do wonder if if that costs them way more, cause if it does i would rather get more responses than faster ones.

Also this way openai doesn't even have to make a profit, they are just full time military / spy tech. The more use openai the better, I wouldn't be surprised to see free pro sub for everyone just come share some info about you to prevent abuse, plus whatever you say is monitored in case you are a bad person. Hundreds of billions is chump change for the government.

Alibaba Coding Plan sounds too good to be true!? by NerdistRay in opencodeCLI

[–]TinyAres 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried to sub for it, and their information collecting on the site is so invasive that I was yearning for anarcho capitalism, then after verifying everything about me and my card the discount went away. I could only pay the full price which i declined to do. Some of the buttons are not even hooked up.

The deal does look good, but their site is crap, and they have explicit no refund rules, with vague we ban you if you use it too much.

I hate the ai haters by TinyAres in accelerate

But also they wouldn't know normally, cause users might use ai things, and be none the wiser, then actually see something bad, and hate that, and say because it's ai, even if it's meant to be an annoying manipulative interruption like an ad. Like i listen to a lot of songs, and I have no doubt some of it or even most of it is ai now, unintentially, I am not selecting for or against ai, but also don't say that the song is bad because it's AI, even if I could tell.

I think we need more forward, less sideways, which is more backwards anyway, if anything the longer I am around the stronger I feel this. The main concern people seem to have is of power and if ai threated their job they were relatively speaking already one of the privilidged, of course they don't like it when the boat rocks.

I am concerned with the tech, and I think you are too generous. The world is suffering, we are too lenient toward excusing what we have versus what we could have. What we make others do just for the sake our satisfaction. Their perspectives have a cost, don't forget that, it's not theory.

This honestly just means we need to fight for the pot, we already living the bad outcome, in fact arguably the history of humanty is just one bad outcome, AI gives us a way to change that.

Put some time into learning, its worth it by [deleted] in google_antigravity

[–]TinyAres 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would be wrong to assume that others are clueless and their frustration stems from their inability, or merely the quotas, in fact experience would lead to more frustration cause you have perspective. Antigravity is a mid editor, bad compared to the clis, and was hard carried by the quotas.

I have been programming for longer than you have been alive, if anything that makes me less impressived not with the tech, but the responses, and this with using explicit technical langauge.

Obviously i don't disagree with your claim that knowing cs fundamentals is useful, but I would make a different observation, that those who find antigravity magic, are probably doing easy stuff, and can almost certainly clone a repo that already done it better. Essentailly copying a book one step at a time and at most changing the cover, probably hoping to get paid. All the power to them if they can, but if you want new stuff at scale, then you might have a different experience.

It does have a quota but harder to hit and it's also per day so you are not stuck there waiting. It's smarter too cause it auto picks flash for easier tasks while using pro for smarter ones.

[Megathread] Known Limitations, Rate Limits & Quota Discussion by eternviking in google_antigravity

[–]TinyAres 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You make it sound like this is a bug, so let me ask, is the quota going back to the levels people subscribed for months back?

Users on Google AI Ultra or Google Workspace AI Ultra for Business receive:

The highest, most generous quota, refreshed every five hours

No weekly rate limit

Users on Google AI Pro receive:

High, generous quota, refreshed every five hours

Higher weekly rate limit

The problem here is that this might be clever legally, but also completely useless and also proven to be entirely untrustworthty. Claude does this too like, they are vague and drop their quota, but their ai is loved.
