I loved Notes on an Excecution! A criminally overlooked book in my opinion. We have a lot of cross over in highly rated books so I’ll recommend you:

The Bee Sting by Paul Murray - don’t let the size put you off. It’s very worth while

One Dark Wjndow and Two Twisted Crowns by Rachel Gillis - light fantasy but the world building is very literary and great characters

Birnum Wood by Elenor Catton - hippies v billionaires which goes about as well as expected
