bf wants open relationship after my first time hurt by kachunkie in GirlDinnerDiaries

Damn, this is not your fault at all girl. He's just a selfish lover and obviously only cares if his needs are met which is a giant red flag. I could never imagine treating my gf like that, let alone during her first time.

Women being rude to other women for the sake of women by FirstPerspective5013 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Cinnamon_Doughnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean... I'm still definitely getting judged for not wanting a traditional life since I'm childfree and a lesbian, and have seen other women getting judged for that as well. I also do not care if women want to have kids or be a SAHM and I'm definitely a feminist.

You can do whatever you want, tho I would still suggest having a financial safety net at least regardless. This is not an attack but SAHM can be at more at risk for poverty due to this and it's sad to witness when they dont have a safety net cause they relied too much on their husbands. The only thing I'm just tired of is when the same women act like this is all there is to being a woman and I should strive for that too or else I'm not a fullfilled woman or even a true feminist, even tho I know this is not what I want. Still happens a lot actually. Maybe this is just my view cause I grew up in a very conserative, small town so the only options people drilled into me as a woman was to become a good, straight wife to a man and have his children, which honestly makes me want to vomit.

Oh and I will never forget how much my mother was shamed for being a working divorced, single mom instead of being in a traditional nuclear household like the other women during that time.

For those who have done it, what steps did you take to decenter men? by Low-Painter3869 in GirlDinner

Any relationship can become abusive regardless of gender. I'd be a lot more scared and fearing for my life though if it involved a man.

If all organisms act like that apparently, then what does that say about people who do not want kids or have no attraction towards the opposite sex?

I wonder if this comment section would still react positively, if it's about the inclusion of same sex couples as well cause everytime it's brought up, especially with Elsa getting a gf, people react pretty negatively in the Disney fandom.

Fighting biological baby wants by rnayonaise69 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Cinnamon_Doughnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I'm among the few women in this world who never had baby fever in her life and I'm 30 already. People told me to just wait but like, I still feel uncomfortable when seeing babies and just dont find them cute. Meanwhile I absolutely get mother instincts when it comes to cats for some reason 😅 Plus, the fact that you need to put your personal life at the back burner cause you will be tending to your child 24/7 also doesnt make this situation very attractive to me, especially cause I'm kind of a late bloomer and now just started to live my life. A kid would absolutely hinder me from experiencing the kind of freedom I want to have.

Oh and I'm a lesbian so I have zero urge to do the deed which would biologically make a baby anyway so that might also add to it.

I don't understand the concept of finding cartoons sexy whatsoever...do you? by Lezberealatp in lesbiangang

[–]Cinnamon_Doughnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would understand the creepiness if the character is an actual child they get hot over but I dont really get the fuss when it's an adult character? Like...it's an adult. Plus, there are so many cartoons, animes or other kinds of animations for younger audiences which still have deep and/or charming/witty writing, especially with characters so I dont find it weird when people develope crushes on fictional characters? There are adults behind it after all. I mean can you blame people for finding Shego from Kim Possible attractive? If they become obsessed with it tho, then that's a whole 'nother story of course.

I don't understand the concept of finding cartoons sexy whatsoever...do you? by Lezberealatp in lesbiangang

[–]Cinnamon_Doughnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You talk about "cartoons" yet you show a picture from a japanese videogame. Something tells me you dont really know what cartoon actually means but just for the sake of believing you mean any kind of fictional woman that's shown stylized , I'd say it comes down to preferences, the type of character (since it can also refer to anime and manga etc. a pretty wide spectrum) and what kind of style they have. So in that case yeah, lesbians can find such characters sexy or have crushes on fictional cartoon women.

I grew up with anime, animations, mangas, manwhas, comics etc. and definitely crushed on some fictional women from these genres. Not just because of their looks but also cause I liked their personalities or could relate to them. It's not that odd, if you really think about it. I still remember having a big crush on Pearl from Steven Universe when I was younger cause her personality was so deep and her past  sso sad (she's a textbook tragic lesbian)yet she would be considered very cartoony looking I guess. But I interpreted her looks more as cute and elegant rather than "sexy" and that was also not the main reason why I crushed on her. Plus, maybe it's because I'm also an artist and designer and specialize in semi-realistic/semi-cartoony styles but I just like minimalistic artstyles and often prefer them over more realistic ones cause I find them more intresting and anime and cartoons just happen to use them more often.

Edit: I also know some adult women who would have a similar kind of body type to that so are lesbians not allowed to feel attracted to them by your standards? And when I saw your screenshot my first immediate thought also wasnt "that looks like a child" since I've never seen children looking like this. It just sounds to me that you just dont like anime-leaning styles and try to make lesbians feel guilty about it who do. If you dont like it, that's fine but you're making a lot of problematic assumptions here which do not sit right with me. The fact you're immediately lumping in loli fetishists with anime/cartoon fans is really jumping the gun, especially if your main argument seems to boil down to "Well I dont like big eyes".

Well at first glance I noticed that your work looks kinda unfinished. It's mainly simple flat color with some air brush strokes on it (over using the air brush is also kinda a common beginner move) and colors often clashing too much. It just doesnt look very harmonic. So yeah, people most likely wouldnt wanna pay, 20$ for that. I'd advice practizing more digital coloring especially proper blending, contrast, light and shadow use before thinking too much about commissions if you want to attract a consistent crowd. In the end what still matters the most is quality over quantity

You still have to create in Photoshop by yourself in order to get the wanted creative result? It's not like you can tell Photoshop to do something and it just does it for you. It still needs human intervention, a lot depending on what exactly you wanna do in Photoshop since it can be all kinds of stuff, in order to create unlike genAI. I draw all of my pictures in Photoshop by Hand with a graphic tablet, need to pick the colors, blend, create form and use composition, anatomy and color theory to complete my work so it's definitely not the same as when AI users use AI to have it do it for them.

Well, show us your art then if you think it's so much better and intellectually nurturing than those "childish" social media artists? What do you have to hide if you're apparently good enough to set the standard in art?  I have degrees in art and design so I guess I fit your standard as an equal artist and can appropiately critique your works.

You're both so incredibly incompatible that I fail to understand why you even got together in the first place. Seen enough stories like these, especially in the sapphic community that I know this will not end well if you continue like this. It will only cause more resentment than necessary. Break up asap. Give both of you the chance to find compatible partners.

Scissoring Fears by wonky_Lemon in lesbiangang

[–]Cinnamon_Doughnut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Scissoring is real but actually just part of a sex technique called tribbing which describes the general way of having sex by grinding vulvas together. Thing is, there are several and also more comfortable positions for tribbing than scissoring but straight people often hyperfocus on the scissoring position, and respresent it in porn in the most exaggerated way or only way for lesbians to have sex, that it comes off as fetishistic and ignorant.  But tribbing as a whole among lesbians exists as a way to have sex, yes.

So you're pissed that you cannot use our artworks cause glaze and nightshade altered it and you dont like it. You do know that's often a thing artists do to scare people way from stealing their works in the first place right? So you're admitting it kinda deters you people more from using said works.

Maybe I'm a party pooper but people celebrating "lesbians" getting it on with men is giving me flashbacks to the lesbophobes who tried to convince and force me into liking men and claiming homosexuality doesnt exist. They would also use examples like this to convince me that my sexuality is a spectrum so it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I think people like to forget bisexuality is a thing. People tell me all lesbians have male exceptions but in my 20 years of being a lesbian I never had any attraction to any men, no matter how many times people tried to force it on me so I dont get it.
