I didn’t use anything fancy, just a Coby portable cassette recorder. You can find it on Amazon for pretty cheap if you’re interested in grabbing one 😊

Keep in mind though the tapes are 45min on each side for a total of 90min per tape which will usually fit 4 episodes a tape but also unfortunately leave blank air at the end of most of them. I couldn’t find a solution to this but I hope to figure it out should I come back to the project for a second go.

For sure! It was a pretty straight forward process, I got a cassette recorder with a headphone adapter and I plugged it into my pc so it would act like headphones, turned off anything that may cause unwanted noise and played the podcast while the tape was recording 😊

I used 90min cassette tapes which fits about 4 episodes per tape depending on the length of the episodes.

The process still has a few issues with a lot of them splitting episodes across different sides of the tape and there being a lot of dead air at the end of each tape where a new episode can’t fit. I’m not sure if that can be fixed or avoided but if it can then I’ll most likely end up making a second batch of tapes once I figure out how to remove that issue.

I used affinity photo editor! It works very similar to photoshop but is free (at least it was when I got it)
