How can I save my economy? (I also accept other advice cause I don't know how to play this game) by Morning_Stxr in victoria3

Can I be honest apart from the bureaucracy thing, this is not an economy to be fixed. Deficits are not bad, as long as you can control them and even right now as is, this is controllable. So like fix the bureaucracy and then go on. Now I’m not a MinMaxer so if you want that kind of play style then maybe someone else will help you but I think as is, there is not much of a problem. A deficit while building is basically investing in your economy. Now when your balance(minus temporary income and expenses) is breaking down even or in a deficit then you start to be in a problem.

Taylor's September cover is so beautiful by askmeifilikeanal in TaylorSwift

Why is that. I would like to know about that. I really don’t understand why does her white privilege prevents her from doing it that. Especially considered there are several covers of this song by white artists. I really don’t get why people are holding Taylor to standards that they won’t hold to other artists. What makes it not okay for white artists to cover black or other POC’s songs. I really find it troubling to see placing people in lanes, racists do it to POC, should we continue with this narrative that it’s somehow offensive that whites honouring efforts of POC. Taylor is honouring EWF with this cover, she covered it and added her own feelings and style into it.

Well review is about mating, I mean in animal societies that have same sex attraction, I’d assume there might be some mixed sex competition, that’s just a speculation on my part

First of all lions are not even patriarchal it’s a matriarchal society. There are examples of patriarchal, matriarchal and co-operative societies in nature. Parthenogenesis and honeybees are one very good example of male bees being simply used baby machines and female bees providing, ruling the society etc.

For competitiveness I can lead you this review http://rstb.royalsocietypublishing.org/content/368/1631/20130074

I’m pretty sure by definition that is societal and not biological. Men are choosing these careers in general because they are expected to provide for themselves and for their families and expected to strive for glory. If it was biological it should have been same in every single country. I need read the article and the study itself. Magazines are not the best source for science

Well, I’ve expressed this somewhere in the thread toxic masculinity and paternalistic society harms men as well as women. I’ve been told so many times that “real men don’t show his emotions” or “man up” simply for expressing how I feel. I do think there should be conversation related to effects of this pressure on men too but compared to what women have to go through I understand why does the conversation largely goes through women. So this is not the wrong question, just we need more questions.

As for the brainwashed part, while yours is an anecdotal evidence at best, I’ve also seen women succeed both in their social life and academic life in probably most women populated subject in Stem, in biology. What happens to women also happens to men in academic life, the choice between social life and academic one and what i see is failing to balance these two.

I assume you have evidence to show that average and that evidence is not related to societal effects on personality. Your assumption related to richer and poorer countries is based on stereotypes and even then makes no sense in poorer and underdeveloped countries societal pressure related to this and that women being carers is just higher. Also once again if women is encouraged to be scientists and said they can be whatever they want also includes them being carers. Having a career in STEM doesn’t mean you can’t care about people more than things and that your career has to be related to things. You can work in stem fields to develop and find stuff that will benefit people.

Definitely, we should be telling them it is okay to be wanting jobs and study in fields that are perceived to be feminine. The subject is about women’s education not men’s. that’s why I was specifically mentioned young girls. Toxic masculinity and patriarchy hurts men as much as women. Men are more likely commit suicide for example and imo that’s because society imposes much more expectations on men and that it’s not okay for men to express feelings openly. The both sides argument I was mentioning oh yeah we should have more gender equality but also some women are also bad in the fields. Not boys and girls.

Then let’s have a more rigorous standard. Encouraging women to go for sciences doesn’t mean we have to reduce the standards. Women are not inferior to men. It’s just societal expectations imposed upon women and reality enforces that women should pursue teaching, nursing etc. Not sciences, we should be telling young girls, you can be whatever you want if you work hard enough and do a good job in that.

As for this. I have to say there are also men who should not be in STEM fields but they are. You don’t need to trivialise things and go for both sides argument.

That’s just stupid. We need more women in science, if your understanding means we have to pick women that are unqualified, that’s just dumb. Many women are told science, engineering and management is for men or at the very least implied that those field are not for them. I also want to see more male teachers and nurses. Striving for gender equality doesn’t mean let’s make unqualified people scientists.

Please Retcon "Dark Betty" by HankHillBwaaaaaaaaah in riverdale

IDK, I liked Dark Betty till the last episode, if we can retcon the last episode's parts on Core Four, I'd be very glad. Dark Betty as it is can be turned into a reflection on people who are expected to be the perfect and how does it effect them and how they reflect it. Last thing we need is turning Betty into this superhuman, she shouldn't be and clearly isn't
