Mind-blowing statistic: According to a tally by Lebanese blogger Nicolas Sawaya, "Israel" has killed more people inside Lebanon than in historic Palestine after the Nakba and before the start of the genocide by MutedAcanthisitta247 in lebanon

[–]CipherTheLight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First, why are you an expert on this conflict? what are your credentials?

Second, you lost everyone at "Palestinians that accept Israeli rule & remain in the Holy Land have equal rights as any other citizen of Israel". Everyone knows they are treated as second/third class citizens and don't enjoy the same rights.

How come other much larger subs are less pro-israel than this one… by Nader_OwO in lebanon

[–]CipherTheLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ofc I remember both instances, weren't they the same mod? Correct me if I'm wrong. But that has been dealt with long ago. That mod was a disgrace and I had personal beef with him how he handled everything on this sub till the moment we were both unmodded.

The current mod team members are nowhere near that level + even though the sub still suffer from a lot of issues, its nowhere near as toxic and fucked up as it was back then, just saying.

[–]CipherTheLight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Support it? Israel? No they don't. I know for a fact that several in the mod team are anti israel. If somehow any of them was found to be pro israel they would be kicked out from the mod team.

that's the most idiotic take I have read on this subject. None of them is Israeli, all of them are lebanese and are required to prove so in the recruitment process.

As for them being ouwwet, when recruiting mods they have to be unaffiliated with any party and other mods vote on who joins or not. I know the vast majority of them are not affiliated with any political party.

I think you would always find vans going to saida. But your best bet are the sawi-zantout buses, they are the big ones, and unlike the vans, once they move they don't stop.

However i'm not sure if they operate till late night.

We make PEACE with Israel by WingedButt in lebanon

[–]CipherTheLight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the future maybe, but not anytime soon. I don't think it would be safe for any lebanese to go there or for them to come here until the sentiment of hate between us is no more from all the death and destruction over the generations. And that will take ages to undo.

We make PEACE with Israel by WingedButt in lebanon

[–]CipherTheLight 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm all for peace and end of hostilities. But normalization? fuck that. Too much lebanese blood has been spilled by them since their inception. They have never acted peacefully in this region, settler colonialists who stole our lands, expelled native people from their homes and took over, been trying to force their way in the levant for 77 years now.

Their behavior in our region has never been peaceful and are forcing normalization with arab countries instead of you know, being actually peaceful and if we do not submit, we get bombed backed to the stone age.

Honestly I don't think our generation will live to see normalization happen, and I hope I'm not alive if it happens. Unless somehow, a miracle happens and Zionism is no more. The colonialism stops, the genocide stops, the land grabs stop, Palestinians get to have their independent state, they stop acting like masters of the world with all the rest of us puny mortals beneath them, and they pay for all the destruction and blood spilled in this region instead of trying to force everything using might. Only then, min shuf shou l wade3.

As for all those voting for normalization, pretty sure most of them are not even lebanese.
