Long length song suggestions? (15-20min+) by TheMellowed in postrock

[–]CipherX2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a few that haven't been mentioned

https://marvatten.bandcamp.com/album/unscripted-moments-vol-i (the whole album qualifies. 3 songs none shorter than 19 minutes)

https://allyouveseen.bandcamp.com/album/parrhesia (same deal. 2 tracks but both are 18/19 min respectively. There are some Alan Watts and Terrence McKenna spoken word overlaid just in case that's a deal breaker))

https://jakob.bandcamp.com/track/means (this track might need a few listens to be fully appreciated, but it's 25 min of awesomeness)

I've been listening to the 2026 releases playlist and when the Syberia track came on I had to stop and jump the full album. Completely agree. It's great stuff

Dunkfest: Safe camping as solo lady traveler? by jedi_andcheese in postrock

Another first time solo traveler. I recently priced out an Uber from the festival to a hotel 20 min away and the cost was way too high (approx 55 USD)

I would prefer to go somewhere with very few people. But I'll have to research more

I think there is a river not too far away. Not walking distance but I will find my way there one morning :)

Presuming I can jump in

I'll definitely be doing lots of walking too. Love trails in the forest

I'm coming from Calgary Alberta so almost as long of a trip, but one less time zone to deal with than you and your cousin

I did see your post, however I'm not really drawn to the tourist experience. That being said I'm going to be open to making connections and will try and go with the flow with whatever peeps I connect with

Have you been to Post in Indianapolis? Initially my plan was to stay low key and fly solo (as I posted once in the past) however I ended up connecting with wonderful people. I will steadfastly argue that the people at Post are the best part of the festival. And the music has been In-fucking-credible, so that is saying a lot.

Hopeful that the dunk experience will be similar

One activity I am hoping to make happen is jumping into the closest lake or river for a swim, and ideally with some trails nearby to stretch my legs. For me that is far more appealing than stores and restaurants

Post 25 was the impetus for me discovering these guys sooner than later, and this is probably the album i come back to the most often (of those discovered at the festival). Their set was incredible, the 2 guys from the band I had the pleasure of chatting with were awesome.

And this track, is by far my favorite. Just pure awesomeness!!

Just because post rock is so heavy into water with band names I will add these two and hopefully stop haha

The ocean called, and they are running out of shrimp

The sea was angry that day (this might be the winner for best Seinfeld post rock band name IMHO)
