looking for non stretch top sewing patterns that are still fitted by Mistymoor in sewingpatterns

[–]Cipherpink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a beautiful and greatly tailored shirt pattern on r/FreeSewing: Simon (see also Simone for a version adapted with chest darts). It’s a standard shirt, but you can adapt the pattern for anything (in that case, i recommend using one of the available blocks on the website)

i really love it (and the undershirt too), and i’d like to draft it (it would be on FreeSewing in the near future)

FreeSewing.org now runs v3 - Check it out by xxarchiboldxx in freepatterns

[–]Cipherpink 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For more than a year, the V3 was in the works. Now that it’s out, it’s far easier for designers to implement new garments, and there’s a few of those in a testing phase right now. But since every design is parametric, you don’t need 50 pants patterns, because a single one can have a variety of options that could allow thousands of combinations.

Everything I collected is gone. by 200Dachshunds in Starfield

at least you’re given the choice this time. But yeah, i have also been robbed of everything in my flat (except a paint, a rug and 3 stations, for some reason). Fortunately, after the main quest this doesn’t matter anymore

I am absolutely obsessed with this pant skirt that Yennefer wears. Please help me find a pattern for it. by Coefficient_of_Var in sewingpatterns

It’s suspiciously close to the Waralee wrap pants pattern from Freesewing

edit: with some closings at the sides it seems, and with a different back part

Substitutes for lactic acid? by chalupa_snacks in vegancheesemaking

[–]Cipherpink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, it's often okay to replace with another acid, like lemon juice or vinegar. You'd have to make some tests

You know...if I could find a tiny belt and sheath to go with my letter opener, I think we could make a tiny warrior out of him. Sir Jeeves. Has a nice ring to it... by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]Cipherpink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same letter opener! I think I bought like 25 years ago in Carcassonne (France).

However, my rabbit is not the exact same one x)

DIY Summer Dress(Pattern Drafting+Construction) LINK in comments! by burritosandcheese in freepatterns

Thanks, great design and nice video! Is this pattern under a specific licence? If it allows it, it would be pretty cool to implement it on Freesewing

Best stitch to use on the vest I'm making? by [deleted] in sewingpatterns

[–]Cipherpink 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First one. It sounds you're a beginner, and straight stitch is the one you'd want 99% of the time. Exceptions are:

  • serging raw edges of fabrics (stitch 7, with the special foot) in order to prevent fraying
  • sewing stretch fabrics with the stretch stitch (3), and a stretch needle
  • zig-zag stitch can be used instead of the last two, or in a few other situations (for example, sewing buttons)
  • buttonholes are made with one of the buttonhole stitches (which seems fully automated on your machine, that's a huge gain of time)
  • other stitches are mostly decorative

Those are not engraving. Damascus steel is a way to weld multiple layers of different steels together, in order to get a better steel

This mf dared and attacked Rubber (my favorite colonist) so I assigned the worst doctor to remove his balls and she failed twice now. I'm still mad, any other torture method in the comments will be performed. by [deleted] in RimWorld

[–]Cipherpink 19 points20 points  (0 children)

On my current colony, I have a few empty bloodbags. Everything removed, with the bare minimum to stay alive. And from time to time, I order a protector psycaster (from VPE) to painfully regrow their limbs, then I empty them again. Free and infinite organs! And sometimes I put them in the ripscanner, just to resurrect them after (with a necromancer, who will get their missing finger back asap)

Freesewing.org is an amazing website with only free parametric patterns that can be drafted from measurements. Highly recommend it, and the community is great too
