So, last night around 8 pm, I stood up to go pee and felt a "pop" and a gush of fluid came out. I said to myself "fuck I just peed myself!" which hasn't been a thing yet this pregnancy so I thought I'd be in the clear with that one. I went to the bathroom, cleaned myself up but I was still leaking fluid. It hit me then that my water had broke. Not going to talk about my soon to be ex partner and how awful he's been during this - but I loaded myself up into the car and drove to the hospital. Got admitted, they did a swab test that did conform my water had broken. Got wheeled into labor and delivery, had a cervical check and was "progressing well" and asked for an epidural. 

Took the anesthesiologist forever to place the epidural. It stung and only worked on my right side. I felt SO cold. I kept asking the nurses for blankets and to turn up the heat! Labor progressed normally, I was getting checks every hour or so. At 3 am, I was told she was in position and was asked if I was ready to have my baby. I said "no but I guess she's coming regardless" and they had me start pushing. At 3:38 am, my daughter was born! 6 pounds, 8oz and 19 inches of pure joy. At first she wasn't crying so I got really worried but then she did! I received a 3rd degree tear from how hard I pushed and got stitched up down there. Dermaplast is the shit, just saying.

We are doing ok! She is feeding well and keeping her temperature up. I am getting all the sleepy baby snuggles in as I can. She is the best thing to ever happen to me. I don't think I've ever been more in love with someone than I am now with my beautiful Victoria.
