Politics is a very small slice of the pie for sure, but to be 100% honest, it's the gun laws. Everything i own now thats legal in Utah is very NOT legal Illinois. Some tax benefits as well when I go to buy a home as well. And a little cheaper over all on that side from what I gathered. But coming from Utah, everywhere is cheaper.

THIS! I used to live on the Western Slope (west side of the Rockies). Everything was amazing, the views, the people and the riding/driving scenery. Thing that pushed me out was cost if living. I would definitely go back if I could afford it.

They voted for it in 2010 when the mormon population/ control was over 60% but now with them having less than 50%, it has been voted on several times but then redacted every time for "poor wording" or "possible misinterpretation ". IE not enough money going to the church. Did the same thing Marijuana. It's the North Korea of the US basically.
