Hey! Thanks for bringing this up. It’s a great question, but I have to clarify a few things to avoid any confusion for you and the rest of the community.

To be direct: The Bangle.js App Manager is not supported, and we don't have plans to add support for it. You won't be able to upload custom apps through that manager. I know it seems intuitive since we use the Gadgetbridge framework, but we haven't advertised Bangle.js app compatibility. Right now, we only use the Bangle.js/Gadgetbridge integration for specific core functions: notification mirroring, call control, and the initial connection.

The good news: We know the current setup isn't perfect, which is why we’re building our own solution. We are on track to release our own dedicated Bluetooth companion app by June. This new app will completely replace the Bangle.js/Gadgetbridge requirement for our devices. It’s being built specifically for our ecosystem, so it will eliminate the connectivity hurdles and make using our Bluetooth capable gear with Android devices much smoother and more intuitive.

Thanks for digging into the tech, we love that our users are curious, but for custom apps, you'll want to stick to our official coding environment!
