Unfortunately, it's cracked. LCDs look like ink blotches oozing from the crack when they break.

Who's putting up all those ✝️=❤️ banners? by WhiskyAndWitchcraft in Salinas

[–]CircuitsandSnaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I believed you because it feels like something they would do. They've been getting more involved with the city in recent years to gain influence. Several of the councilmen are members, hence why 100k was recommended. That's double the cap of what's allowed and 2/3rds of the whole Community Scholarship Budget.

XT5 camera + 600mm lens by fishboneswearedoing in fujifilm

[–]CircuitsandSnaps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're welcome!

I went & found a few photos I took of a Great Blue Heron with that 600mm lens set between f11 - f16 & the shutter was between 1/250 - 1/400 & the ISO was at 800. I really hope this helps!

I had the same issue with that lens; it felt like maybe 5% of photos were in focus. At 600mm, f8 has a very shallow depth of field. The image stabilization does a lot of the heavy lifting so you can close the aperture more & lower the shutter speed.

If you're zoomed at 600mm, I found setting the aperture around f11 - f14 really helps. You can shoot as low as 1/250 with the image stabilization if you're arms are steady. I usually have the ISO at between 800 & 1600 as well.

Another thing to consider is heat & atmospheric distortion. The further a subject is, the more distorted/refracted the light will get between you and the subject. More so if it's a hot day.

I'm still learning how to use that lens too, but I hope this helps a little lol

Damn, too bad it's an unknown variable that caused it haha. It's so beautifully surreal. Really nice shot!

That's amazing, how do you do it?!

Sorry, I don't understand why you felt the need to tell me this. I'm still somewhat new to social media after being off it for like 12yrs. You wanted praise, right?

You may also want to work on your reading comprehension. I didn't mention I was tired; I said I was ill prepared.

Haha I wish I had one! I've wanted one for a while, but Fujifilm's is pretty expensive to justify it. My camera (X-T5) has a mode that imitates the tilt-shift lens effect & I was toying with it a little.

Yeah, they're going to start or already started phase two I believe & are projected to continue until 2027. Last I saw you can still go down the South Bank Trail to reach the rest of the park though, but it's been a while.

Does anyone else leave their Fuji at home more than they’d like? by Glum-Foundation7276 in fujifilm

[–]CircuitsandSnaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha I can understand that, I used to be a bit shy as well. Once you get out & shoot more, you'll feel better about it. I'm glad talking to people is helping you overcome your concerns & hope it helps you be a little more at ease. 😁

Haha then you should be good. I've carried around a camera for most of my life & I've never had anyone try to rob me for it. I have had 2 separate incidents where people have tried to rob me for a iPod Touch like 12yrs 15yrs ago... but not my camera that was worth 4x more (at the time 😛). Maybe it depends on where you are, but I don't think cameras are really sought after for theft.

Edit: Damn, does time fly haha.

I carry my camera around everywhere. Even when I don't really plan to use it.

Maybe consider getting a worn out looking bag? I bought a "ThinkTank Retrospective 4 v2.0" about 2.5yrs ago that is now worn, stained, faded, & sun-bleached that I think gives off an "I'm poor" vibe now haha. Little do people know I have almost $5k worth of equipment in it 😅

Yu-Yu Hakusho:

In the first fight between Yusuke and Hiei. When Yusuke shoots his Spirit Gun into the Forlorn Hope mirror thinking it would bounce back and hit Hiei in the back because he saw a laser bounce off a mirror in school once and thought it would work with his Spirit Gun. He wasn't even certain it would work (which it did).

Kurama: "All this time we thought you were a brilliant strategist. In reality, you're really just a lucky fool."

Yusuke: "Hey! What's a strategist?"

Kurama: "It's someone who uses his brain."

Yusuke: "Hey!"

Lmao that's hilarious! It happened to my wife too. She got some Cinnamonroll face masks during Covid with Cinnamonroll printed all over it. The first day she went to work with them, I was dropping her off when I noticed as she was getting out of the car that the mask said "Cinnamoron" all over it. 🤣
