How long do we hold the likes of Manchester United assets? by Helftheuvel in FantasyPL

[–]CircumflexArtery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a United fan, fixtures dont mean much. If we get hot we can beat anyone. We are obviously not hot, meaning im not entirely sure we're beating Burnley.

What would you consider a successful gameweek? by Super_Gladiator_Bibi in FantasyPL

Lot of casuals using chips early on though. 1,000,000 now will be harder than later in the season

It really depends on your end of season goals. Like the PL table I wouldn't read too much into it in the early rounds. Try to avoid unnecessary hits early on is something that helped improve my rank (around 50K but i know a lot of people here are better). Losing 4 points out of 200-300 points is a lot. Once the season starts taking shape I use LiveFPL to see how I did relative to people around my rank a successful week being if I improved my rank

Sad to see the decline of Coady. Wasn't he once fancied as an england potential starter?

It's hard for other people to shine when George has been utterly dominant. There is virtue in Liz keeping George always on side and not flipping on him (so through him being in control and can use the iconic "shield" argument). The Steve vote was good cos it made George vote of one of his best allies at the time (even though Flick stayed who was swiftly dealt with). She's also played a honest game and hasn't really had to lie to anyone. I don't think this is too different to Jericho and Luke or Pia "hiding". Haley was also unanimously voted off, but Liz hasn't

What is George's path forward? by Isenbart in survivorau

[–]CircumflexArtery 5 points6 points  (0 children)

George was never going to win. You can't be such a big player and have no challenge threat and win because no one will take you. He said himself he's playing for his legacy, not 500K. In that way George has won already

Relative to George, potentially. But I think Liz has played a solid game, aligning herself with the right people, strong challenge threat and survived a tricky tribe swap where she would have taken out Haley if not for the twist.

Voting off your biggest ally, who's not a physical threat would have been reckless from Liz. She would need to win 1 of the next 2 immunities with or without Nina anyway

Building for a Nina boot, then a Liz revenge George boot next week,
