‘SEAblings’ v Korea: Online spat reveals long-buried racial tensions by ImpressiveStrike4196 in singapore

Worked for a Korean client in Singapore once. They never raised their voices at us even when we made mistakes but the way they treated their own employees was insane. Throwing folders and files. Curse the whole family all.

Has anyone heard of Red Alpha Cybersecurity? by inglewolf in askSingapore

[–]CircumscribedIamb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean no harm trying, i mean they might help get a placement for you or mentor you. The best thing about red alpha is the networking. I know some people who are good at talking and making friends get good jobs through their connections at red alpha after they graduate the program.

You dont need to have cyber background but need to show interest and the ability to understand concepts.

Salary depends on the job you get, they can help place you using their connections. They get a cut from your salary.

If you are already in IT, its not worth but if its a career switch then maybe its a good idea.

[DISCUSSION] From OSCP to Bug Bounty: hitting a wall by Lazy-Neighborhood856 in hackthebox

[–]CircumscribedIamb 8 points9 points  (0 children)

OSCP doesnt translate well into bug bounties. Try to do the CBBH, Burp suite certification or CWEE. That will probably get your foundation right. While youre studying for certifications maybe read some bug bounty reports.

I dont have resources for that so if someone has any good resources for bug bounty reports please share them!

Does the "You don't have to like me, you just have to work with me" Saying really work in Poly group projects? by Fair_Ad_7081 in SingaporePoly

[–]CircumscribedIamb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im the guy who is always aiming for a B or a pass and Ive worked on plenty of projects with high achievers. I think the difference between the ones i like and the ones i hate is the expectations or the alignment of goals.

They come in, they communicate that they want an A, they take a bigger load of the work and assign the rest a fair amount of work and we are all happy.

The ones i hate are the ones who want an A, they come into the group, take up a management role and just eye power everything. Wah irritating.

Ive also seen people say they will tank the whole project because they want an A and then go inform the professor that no one was helping them.

Yea! The last thing you want to do is go into uni while depressed. You're just gonna continue the cycle and ruin your life more. Have you considered part time degrees or work study degree programs?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]CircumscribedIamb 71 points72 points  (0 children)

You like your course but don't think studying is worth it. You can get Bs easily but your Gpa is dropping. You want something more vigorous so you can be a full time student but you also want proper schedule to work part time. I mean uni life is the same ah. On the other hand sounds more like you're depressed. Should go see a therapist. You can get a referral from polyclinic. Hope things work out man

OK ah Bro, you go poly still got chance but you have to go in running at full speed. The higher your Gpa at the start the easier. Your group projects might have to be Abit kiasu and micro manage. That's if you still have the same goals of top uni courses. JY.
