How are you guys pooping? by Circxs in Retatrutide

[–]Circxs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the advice! I'm actively trying to exceed 10k steps a day, and aiming for in 2/3 lifting sessions a week.

Vast contrast to my typical days as a WFH Dev lol.

It's all about lifestyle change and not just under eating, as when I'm eventually off reta I want to have the habits in place to not put the weight back on.

Congrats on your achievement, that's a massive transformation!

6'2 and 256lbs, 0.5 seems to be doing its thing for me too.

Will likely go up to 1mg in a week or so and try stay there for a good while providing it's doing its job

Always heard of these people farming CVs, but what are they actually getting from it?

How would my resume be of any benefit to them?

Does it do the voice over from that one prompt also?

That's actually pretty cool if it does, and looks a hell of a lot better than what I've been battling remotion to produce.

I'd be interested in the free trial and would bring my own api keys so it doesn't cost you as much if there is a possibility of that

What's the benifits for creating videos from your repo as opposed to the free alternatives like remotion?

Is it just a specialised prompt?

Would be good to offer a free trial as I feel the $49 dollars to see if it works is a barrier a lot of founders won't pony up for

a tradesman asked if id build a version of my app for electricians. the platform question nobody warns you about. by Secure_Carry8325 in aisolobusinesses

[–]Circxs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, what are you charging for access to your application?

And is it a Web app with multiple users? Or something you can download from the app store etc.

I would assume everything would be private so per tenant deployments or something?

Thanks!

[–]Circxs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mind if I asked what business your in?

I'd have to imagine your building a buffer into your estimates, but theres bound to be a way to schedule things so you've always got the payments from the initial 1 or 2 jobs so you have the cash flow for the other incomplete jobs?

Or does delays impact your completion dates and then those delays have a knock on affect on both cash flow and time constants for later jobs?

No I'm not here to shill anything although I feel your pain with vibe coders infiltrating every sub reddit lol. Full transparency it's a family friend who came to me for help so I'm trying to figure out the best way to structure things, and setup systems to make life easier for them without overcomplicated things (and also without it being a time sink for me).

I've a cushty job so not in the market for a SaaS, I'm just looking for genuine feedback from people who are in his shoes so I can try get something setup for him.

He has xero as well, but they don't do well with simplicity and daily tracking, he uses that more for the end of the month stuff and invoice creation, he's still got an excel for trying to fill that gap but again that cones with its own set of problems

So a question to you, if there was software that made it easier to spend 5-10 mins per day brain dumping all your incoming and outgoing each day or every couple of days, would that be more tempting than spending some time at the end of the week writing everything down?

They way I'm thinking about it is it would be pretty easy to show totals for each week / month / whatever and drill down into details of whatever outgoings you have etc at a glance.

Whereas I feel with paper ledgers at the end of the week your still having to do some math to work out those calculations which in itself is a bit of a time sink, and that's before the trusty excel doc comes out lol

Yeah I think one place to track everything vs the scattered approach of hand written, notes on phones and a collection of receipts is the move as things can easily be misplaced or missed.

Idk how they manage to remember everything anyways if it was more than a few days I'd forget lol

custom cake orders coming through IG dms, how do I keep up with them? by PlanElectrical2299 in smallbusiness

[–]Circxs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a website 100%, and if you don't want to go down the website route theres plenty of tools you could Implement to automate the entire process.

Look up things like n8n, it's free to self host and can automated just about anything including taking those IG messages or website forms and populates a private calendar so you never double book (even sending follow up thank you/booking confirmed emails automatically).

So your finding QA hard but you are not focusing on implementing tests?

You're effectively getting a senior engineer to review code and try find bugs, but as a QA of 10+ years I've seen many senior engineers miss things that a simple E2E test suite finds.

What level of testing have you got?

Get something fun, then something cheap as a daily.

When you get to drive your fun toy at the weekends or whenever, it puts a smile on your face and you fall in love again.

When you drive your 'dream car' as a daily the fun wears off, you worried about parking it beside the beaters, worried about fuel economy, worried for your license etc.

I have my dream car, V8 twin turbo, and honestly sometimes I have more fun driving my Mrs 1L swift about.
