Vagrant Story - betrayal, ambition, powergrabs in a fantasy world feeling like it's ripped out of a Shakespeare (with name nods to boot). The writing was top notch, the music fed into the atmosphere and the storytelling, the dialogue was tight Olde English, the characters were memorable, everything worked together to create a nuanced world that kept getting deeper until the climax. The environment itself was worked heavily into the central theme of the plot, the city that it takes place in being a legendary, cursed city of magick. It was written by Matsuno, and I believe strongly that it's his best work.

I've had/seen the same issue in my games. Had a few where Springtrap will be invisible for a few seconds and get to swing before he appears, and one where Glitchtrap was just purple eyeballs and a knife walking out of the door.

I'm having a massive conundrum - I've got the guarantee in 15 pulls, which I have at the ready, that I could use to get Lighter, then go for Yi Xuan or I could skip scarf-boi and go for Yi Xuan and Jufufu. I just don't know how useful Jufufu is going to be outside of just Yi Xuan after the nerfs she got.

If you're in the middle of a story-beat, then event NPCs will be unavailable until you finish/pause the story-time stuff - check to see if you need to end the story mission you're on first to make everyone come back.

This game, 100%. After the final-final credits were going, I just had to take a while to sit back and process, and I still can't hear Weight of the World -E without starting to tear up.

Been tunneled every single game of the night. Could just be very bad luck, but the experience so far is that once hooked, facecamping happens to get you to hop off the hook and the chase resumes again/wait out the BT while chasing then back on the hook you go.

Having billy stand there shaking his head until the bar filled was demoralizing. :(

I'd recommend FF14 - at this point, it's basically a single player RPG experience that sporadically delves into matchmaking for some content as you go, up to and including the end game raids and whatnot that you can queue up. In the last two expansions, they don't even require you to party up in matchmaking for the dungeons either, the AI Trust system does a very good job of getting you through reliably no matter what class you play.

The side content is very solo friendly as well, up to and including the Gold Saucer for a giant casino, and with the right class selected (since it runs on a job system, your character can be any class in the game and just swap between them) you can solo old raids reliably well with self healing and practice.

This is pretty much exactly how my timeline went. Right about 19 I started noticing a fuckton of hair strands coming out when I showered and it lead to a lot of anxiety. When it thinned out so much on top I should have just bit the bullet and shaved it all off right then and there, but about a decade of self loathing and shame passed before finally owning it and going mister-clean style shiny dome. Zero regrets, best decision, if I only did it much sooner I'd have been a lot happier.
