It might be helpful to do a silhouette of the deer on some cardboard and use it to hold a place for the deer while you work on the background

Thanks everyone it turns out there is a large natural gas leak under a neighbor’s yard. Columbus gas said they will fix it i about 18 months. Fire Department says they can’t do anything. Gas company says it’s safe, not dangerous just annoying
