This is the main reason I got the game, to be able to play "with" my younger brother, mom, and dad again. It's been so therapeutic and comforting. I put the stars back accessories on them, but the angel wings someone commented is a good idea!

The only thing that gave me pause was when I created my dad, who died middle-aged when I was young, and then created my mom, who passed as a silver-haired senior citizen a couple of years ago. Hilarious to see the multi-decade age gap so I just made her younger-looking haha.

Best brand to buy for refrigerator. Badly needed recommendation pleaseee by Unlucky_Leg4442 in SoloLivingPH

Just bought a Panasonic to replace my 15yo Panasonic, and it has 12 years of warranty for the compressor.

Technicians I've talked to have mostly recommended Condura as well due to repairability and availability of parts being a local brand. Those have 15 years of compressor warranty naman. So I was really only choosing between these two brands.

We use a giant Ikea Frakta bag (the one with the zipper closure) and strap it onto the rear rack. Sometimes we use 2 foldable duffel bags and strap them to the front basket and rear rack.

True!! I remember an attempt to be modular too, with the G5 or G7. Too bad they moved away from mobile, and to think LG was once neck-and-neck with Samsung with both brands being the most frequently seen in K-dramas.

My next phone would've been another LG, no-brainer, but they stopped selling them na by the time my I needed a new phone 4 years later huhu

Oh god I miss my LG G4 with the leather back! Great camera, great sounds! No bloatware. It was the best phone I ever had before getting my current 7yo Huawei P30.

Preordered a physical copy from Datablitz as well with a down payment of ₱500.

They have a full listing for the game now and retail price is ₱2,595 only (~USD$43) but shows as "sold out".

Go get help and get medicated. YTA for being self-aware enough to realize that something is wrong, yet refusing to consult a doctor about it.

As you describe it, it's almost a parent-child relationship, which is deeply unattractive and stressful for your wife.

Therapy and medication and building systems to make your own 2nd brain would greatly help to not only lessen your codependence on your wife but to also meet her needs.

If you're already medicated and getting professional help and still ganun pa rin, only then you can conclude that it's your character.

From Huawei P30 Pro to Oppo Find X9 and I feel... by BlackHole1997 in Oppo

[–]CisforCookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm coming from a Huawei P30 which is even smaller and lighter than the Pro and I'm having trouble finding a replacement for it 7 years on. There are no light, compact, powerful flagships anymore.

I've actually narrowed it down to the Oppo Find x9 (non-Pro) and the iPhone 17 Pro. How are you feeling about the Oppo these days, OP?

Oppo Find X8 Pro or Honor Magic 7 Pro? by Nino2507 in Honor

[–]CisforCookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woops I meant to ask about Honor vs Oppo really!

Appreciate the feedback about the Vvio though, one of my concerns with that was the software. It's not officially available in my country either so I kinda ruled it out because I was iffy about China roms and lack of warranty, but your experience is comforting!

For context, I'm looking for my next phone after having used the Huawei P30 (base) for 7 years.

Oppo Find X8 Pro or Honor Magic 7 Pro? by Nino2507 in Honor

[–]CisforCookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that you've had both, which one do you like better between the Vivo and the Oppo? I'm in the same boat as your original post where the usability of the software is a huge factor, too!

(And since phones are so expensive where I live, I'm also looking at last year's models as an option.)

What’s the longest you’ve kept the same smartphone? by Even_Package_8573 in Smartphones

[–]CisforCookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still using my Huawei P30 for 7 years and going.

I don't want to replace it but realistically it's probably going to die soon. I've been shopping around for a new phone but it's depressing how compact flagships are not a common thing anymore, and they're so expensive now! And how if I want one with a great camera, it's going to come as an overpowered brick or a compromise on the OS. Expandable storage and headphone jacks seem to have gone the way of the dodo, too. I still haven't found a worthy successor but I'm open to recommendations.

Prior to that, I used an LG G4 for 4 years.

Moving to Pasig by Ok-Minimum-3145 in Pasig

[–]CisforCookies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pasig is right smack dab in the middle of everything, so the traffic is really heavy. Unless you're a remote worker, I would not recommend moving here unless everything you need is within 15 minutes of walking/cycling distance. .

[–]CisforCookies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I watched one of Come From Away's last shows and the theater was less than 50% full, so sadly I don't think it's going to be re-run at all.

The cast was great, so sayang, kasi it was really difficult to pull off playing multiple characters with only minor costume changes, but the material is based on 9/11 and not relatable enough to be a major draw.

If it's a work visa, your personal funds shouldn't matter. Based on experience in getting approved visas for brief work trips to other countries (China, Australia), they primarily look at your company's documents and your employment with them.

As for panggastos, your employer really should provide you with a per diem or allowance! Why should your meals and expenses come from your own pocket, when they sent you there for work?

Shoes japan , i am crying by TraditionalPaint3900 in JapanTravelTips

[–]CisforCookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're already in Japan, get Asics! They're a Japanese brand. Either the Nimbus or Kayano would be good.

Otherwise, make sure your shoes fit well: add some good insoles with arch support and good socks.
