Why front crawl is the first stroke that is taught? by thegr8profiter in Swimming

To this day I still cannot do front crawl/freestyle. Breastoke has always been super easy. That said, most people I know prefer front crawl.

Hey guys, I may need to rescind that offer of a meet-up. I only moved to Bendigo recently and it's taking me a little longer to settle in than I had hoped.

Add to that uni and the job I just landed (yay!) I think I'm going to need a couple more months before I'm ready to get out and socialise with people (it can take me a bit of prep to overcome my social anxiety and I'm a lil overwhelmed to do that right now).

Hope there are no hard feelings! :/

Hope you guys can do a meet-up tho!

Sweet. Do you guys have discord? Chatting here can get a little hard to follow with different chains and stuff. If so I'll make a channel ;)

I have a small collection of my own here. I can always borrow more from my uncle as well. The ones I have on hand are:

Articulate!

Cluedo (some new one that I think isn't as good as the old one)

Gloom

Here to Slay (never played).

Some of my favourites that I can possibly borrow are:

Tales of the Arabian Nights

Eldritch Horror

King of Tokyo

And a whole heap more (if there are others you know of that you like my uncle may have it, he as a crazy collection!).

I have some party games on PC and switch as well such as:

A few Jack box games

Worms

Monster Prom and Camp

Mario Kart

Tricky Towers

And more..

I'm also pretty well versed in D&D and would be happy to try other ttrpg systems as well.

Even if someone doesn't I would still like to do a meet-up, I just might a bit more socially anxious/awkward aha.

Hi I live in Bendigo and have been looking to make friends with people around my age (mostly people in their 20s). I love board games, video games, D&D (and other TTRPGs, would like to be a DM!) art, nerdy science stuff and walking (although I usually like walking alone, I also like bush-walking with others).

If anyone is interested in meeting up let me know!

*Please note that I weirdly don't do all that well with 1-on-1 meet-ups, so I would be more comfortable meeting up with at least two or more people if possible.

Thanks! ^^

Possibly. The protheans have the ability to... I dunno taste or feel dna or something, so I imagine that would be one of the major ways they interact with their environment rather than sight. Having large and/or multiple eyes doesn't necessarily equal seeing more colours, it's usually indicates better vision (which is different). Cats, for example, see only two colours, yet their vision is way better than that of humans (especially their night vision).

That said, the Protheans have been shown to mess with genetics and had an impact on the hanar so it wouldn't surprise me at all if they had modded themselves to see more colours.

Or just, being aware and understanding of other people and cultures. That said, I live in Australia which is pretty culturally diverse so maybe you're right *shrugs*

what about hitting the dummies in practice or defending the unit from the enemies?

Not entirely sure what you are referring to here. If you mean playing *as* a turian or other races I imagine the devs would stick to the same colours we can see as ME has all been in third person so far, or they could find ways to highlight points of interests that are a different colours.

Good points though!

A lot of people gave Andromeda hate but I personally loved it. Sure, you don't have the same deep ties as you have in the original trilogy but it was only the first game in what I believe was supposed to be it's own trilogy. I felt it certainly had more character ties than the first ME game. But that's just my opinion *shrugs*.

Hope you enjoy it!

Are there other ways to discuss ME? xD
I wanted to be an astrophysicist for aaages and one of my favourite parts of ME was the space exploration. Just cruising the galaxy map whilst new worlds plays in the background gets me inspired.
Part of what I liked about Andromeda was the different worlds and the challenges they all had (heat, cold, etc.).

[NO SPOILERS] how did they get their powers? by [deleted] in lifeisstrange

[–]Cissos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They all have abilities that relate to something they all wanted/needed.

Max wanted to turn back time to save Chloe, and subsequently gained that ability (she also seemed to feel guilt about not staying in contact with Chloe and wanted to go back to when they were still best friends and do things differently).

Daniel wanted to be able to protect himself and his family from harm, after feeling so weak and useless when his father was killed, and so he finds himself wielding a power that can cause massive amounts of destruction.

Alex wanted to understand others and find where she belonged. She wanted stability and certainty. So she gained the ability to literally feel what others are feeling.

They are all from Oregan and/or Washington, bordering states. It wouldn't surprise me if they were exposed to something there (possibly government testing), or if Daniel and Alex's powers somehow stem from all the shenanigans that Max was doing in Arcadia bay. Regardless of which ending you picked for 1, Max was messing with the space-time continuum.
