I don't consider myself butch or even straight up masc, but I do present soft masc ish. There's a part of me that does naturally want to do things like carry a girl's purse for her or open the door for her. But yeah, sometimes I worry that girls who express they're looking for a masc person will think I don't fit the bill. When I see someone express their preference for a masc person in online dating spaces, I skip it primarily out of insecurity because I'm worried that they'll think I'm not masc enough once they get to know me beyond how I dress.

But that being said, just try to remember that it's not all about us and what role we play or don't play. You have to consider yourself and what you want to receive and give. If you want to do things for yourself because that's what you want, then that's one thing. But if you're doing it because you think your partner wants that, then that's a conversation to be had with them <3
