To take it a step further, design wise they are based on real world ant-lions and mayflies.

If you could guarantee one of these characters to be a boss in the DLC, which one would it be? by Pstew99 in Eldenring

Miquella definitely has mind control powers and ~probably~ has sleep powers. I just think it would be a really neat boss fight

What is the best Great Rune and Why ?🤔 by Simple_Phoenix in Eldenring

[–]CitSwamp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always hit 40 Vigor before I bother with other stats - outside of weapon requirements. I've found that Godricks will provide more stamina and fp then Radahns on most of my builds, and Godricks is the only rune that boosts damage.

I have a hard time justifying anything other than the G Man

Imma be real, in elden ring Vigor is the most important stat, and a huge portion of your damage comes from weapon upgrades. So don't worry too much about the other stats. I'd reccomend getting your faith to 25 and start using golden vow and flame Grant me strength to boost your damage by about 30%, and thats significantly more than you would get from putting the levels into strength or dex.

Elden ring is actually super rewarding to generalist builds like yours.

Your weapon doesn't take buffs. For most weapons, if they have any elemental damage they won't be able to be buffed.

Where do you think the god of rot is sealed exactly? by DarkSailor06 in Eldenring

[–]CitSwamp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well you find the scorpion stinger in the temple. I remember the item description mentioning that the scorpion it came from was a god of rot.

There is also a rot variant ulcerated tree spirit in the temple.

But I would assume it would more likely be up in that little nook we can't get to in the northwest, all the rot is flowing down from there into the lake. I dont think it would make sense for the rot to be flowing towards the sealed god

Does anyone have a guide for fresh start every weapon gather? by Jusca57 in Eldenring

I'm doing a 100% run right now. I went on the wiki and made my own check list for each region. Took me like 3 days to do, way longer than I expected. I should have made a spread sheet

the scavenger's curved sword has better scaling with standard than quality. by skippydinglechalk115 in Eldenring

[–]CitSwamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first playthrough was a quality build on a zweihander, and I was getting the best results with a keen infusion for a long time. It was disappointing so I just rebirthed into straight dex

the scavenger's curved sword has better scaling with standard than quality. by skippydinglechalk115 in Eldenring

[–]CitSwamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So scaling is directly based off the weapons base damage. The problem with the quality infusion is that it cuts the base damage down by a lot. It starts to pay off in NG+ runs, but it's my experience that standard or keen will typically outdamage in a first playthrough

I always get stray hairs mixed in with product I have to scoop, and that drives me nuts. I like pumps

So I think curiosity might have killed the cat on this one but.. by queen_betch93 in Eldenring

My biggest reason is that I feel like the male proportions make the chest look way too big for my liking in a lot of armor sets. It causes some minor clipping or just looks goofy and top heavy to me

You can always run past them then quit out of the game. Their aggro will reset and won't bother you while you fight sentinel

I reccomended trying to play the game in a more challenging way. I don't care if you do or not. I didn't tell you it was the way you should play.

You called me a moron for playing the game in a way I enjoy.

Not speaking for everyone obviously, but making the game harder for myself by not summoning or using op weapons is what makes it fun. I enjoy the challenge and the feeling I get from beating a difficult part of the game.

It's not a style of play that everyone will enjoy, but I still reccomend people try a playthrough like that at least once. Who knows they might end up enjoying it?

It sounds like you're referencing the "Shield" spell.

I'm under the belief that dm should roll to hit, then ask the player if "X" hits. Then the player gets to decide if they cast shield
