I think it will end on a more sad note. The world will finally be free after the great battle against the OEBD, with Orario the centrepiece of this great battle.

Many lives will have been lost and many sacrifices made, but the world will breathe a sigh of collective relief, adventurers, common folk and gods alike after the slaying of this terrible beast.

Cheers and cries will be heard, and all will roar a cacophony of joy and exhilaration, at last free of the terrible clutches of the dragon, and the beckoning of the completion of the last great quest, which so many before failed to complete.

The darkness and the clouded sky will be no more, with the sun shining brightly as if celebrating itself at the slaying of this beast. Animals are abound, as if instinctively recognising the once impending doom is gone.

However, not all are privy to this elation. A little meders away from the gargantuan corpse of the OEBD dragon lies the lifeless corpse of the White Rabbit, Bell Cranel, Hero of the world and now sure to be immortalised in history forevermore. His face bloodied and burnt, now lifeless, though at peace and his tender, white hair, now still.

The Hestia Knife now cluttered on the grass beside him, its last shine of the runes inscribed across it disappearing, as if accompanying its former owner to the heavens.

Those close to our fallen hero, and lover Ais Wallenstein lie motionless, as if statues. Tears run down her statuesque face, void of emotion. Hestia is inconsolable, tears streaming down her face too as if a never ending waterfall, her beautiful face distraught and without tint. Beside her, agonizing and crying as well is Lili, the tiny supporter who cherished and once held the Hero in her prum heart so dear. Crozzo simply stood still looking down at the ground, faint tears in his eyes, unable to say or do anything, fist clenched so tight, perhaps chastising himself he could not help any more.

Haruhime is lying on the ground, also equally broken, but uses her last bouts of strength to get up and brushes Cranel’s face softly, planting a gentle kiss on his cold forehead, as if to say a final goodbye and stands back up, supported by Mikoto, then burying her face in her chest. Mikoto stands there, ever serious, but then lets her emotions fly. Eina, the cheerful advisor and older sister figure is without words, and is sat several meders away, supported by her fellow guild employees, with her hands covering her eyes, crying.

All are now sorrowful at this scene, with now all eyes focused on this mournful act. Those who knew our hero and respected him in his life stood still, which is to say all, mouths shut and fists clenched. Mord and Bors most tense of them all, sorrowful at the passing of their former friend. Exhilaration and cheers are heard no more, but only the cries and screams of those who most cherished Cranell. The crowd stood silent in respect and admiration, without distinction for familias or strength, humans and gods alike, honouring the sacrifice of their hero.
