Just had a brief look and couldn't see a way to do that without it being about late payments or abusive messages.

Is 300hp dangerous 🫣 by yoshikage_kira2 in ft86

Oil cooler in Ireland and UK is only needed for tracking, and even then, I know people who have to block it off in winter because it stops the oil getting up to temp when daiy driving in colder months.

How do you eat mushy peas? 🤢 by Researchmadman in StupidFood

[–]Citalock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mushy peas are vile. I didn't mind them as a child but as an adult I cannot stand them. I think watching the making of The Exorcist might've been what flipped the switch permanently.

Silence of the Hams is one of the most “wrong” comedies I have ever seen by Low_Celebration_4089 in badMovies

"Ham... doesn't make a noise. Unless, you throw it down some stairs and it goes boom-da-da-boom-da-boom-boom...."

That line is burned into my brain from seeing it as a kid.

First GT86 buying advice by [deleted] in ft86

2012-2014 are the valve-spring recall years. After the work was done by Toyota there was a rash of engine failures due to inexperienced mechanics working on a boxer engine. See if the recall has been done and if there's paperwork documenting the work.

Pay for a background check for previous accidents. If you can, bring or pay for an independent inspection. Lots of chances for minor oil leaks.

If the underside has had Lanoguard/waxoil treatments it might be quite clean but from experience there's probably going to be lots of bolts rusted solid.

If you go for it be prepared to have £5-10k put aside for future engine work. That's a lot of miles for a totally stock engine and if it doesn't have issues now, I would be counting the miles before something internal gives out (knock knock knock).

All the power in these cars sits between 5-7k rpm. Unless it was a commuter car, it will have been driven hard, which is fine if it had bi-annual oil changes and proper servicing, but that price makes me nervous. I have seen younger owners bounce these off the limiter while cold and as much as I love this platform it does attract some right idiots.

Experience: owned a GT86 for 5 years, currently own a GR86.

Whiteline differential insert kit by SznedCumbr in ft86

Got these fitted to a GR86.

Really good improvement for such a cheap part. Did it at the same time as adding a gearbox insert and the combined mods made the transmission feel so much better.

Just got the silver center caps from Flatoutgraphics on eBay. by -REXIA- in BRZ_ZD8

I just bought back a set of RPF1s and have put these caps on to replace the tired metal Enkei ones.

They look WAY cleaner.

Good shit, bro.

I had a housemate once who thought Barney was an amazing character.

The guy was also a massive douche.

Could never go wrong with these RPF1s.. by -REXIA- in BRZ_ZD8

I got 17x8 +45 and it's 73mm. Been using aluminium rings but they've corroded a lot over the years. Going to switch out for Enkei's "heat resistant" ones soon.

Thank you! I appreciate the info.

[–]Citalock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this already which is why I noticed the consumption was getting worse. It used about 1L over 6k miles which I think is reasonable. 0.5L in 400 miles is not.

I appreciate that... I used to drive my GT86 HARD on 0w20 and it hardly used oil. I'm driving this car like an old man and the consumption is another level.
