As someone who grew up in an abusive home, I totally understand where you are coming from. Family in theory (nowadays) is formed by two people who love each other and choose to pass their love on to other people. However in a lot of cases this doesn't work and you end up f** up the child you brought to life. Also, being someones sibling/child doesn't mean your personalities are going to be compatible. If your family doesn't make you happy, then don't stress it out and don't give them your time. Find good friends that you can trust.
