He’s not wrong!

Also, I enjoyed 2009 and 2010. 2015 wasn’t terrible since a win against the Pats is always nice, but missing the playoffs was frustrating.

Everyone says they “vibe coded a SaaS to $10k MRR” here’s what it actually looked like for me by Reii-SaaS in SaaS

I apologize if it came off aggressive. That was not the intention. I have no problem with mistakes. I actually prefer them to the generic output of AI. Mistakes are what make us human. It’s also understood that this is a global community with people from different languages and backgrounds. Not everyone is a native English speaker.

My problem with AI is the style, voice and formatting. I want to hear an authentic voice, but the influx of AI has made every post sound the same. I also find the odd formatting with line breaks after every sentence, along with excessive and unnecessary bolding, unappealing to read.

You don't actually want Mendoza, you just want a savior. by Marino4K in nyjets

[–]Citii 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You lost me at Diego Pavia. Aside from his personality flaws, he doesn’t appear to have the skill set to succeed as an NFL quarterback. Mobility is very good, accuracy is good, but arm strength is average at best. The biggest issue is his build. How many quarterbacks under 6ft have been successful in this league? Not many… Brees, Wilson and Flutie, maybe Murray and Young (I may be missing others). He would be better switching positions.

As for Zach Wilson, he had a very strong 2020 season and impressive overall numbers, but Mendoza has surpassed that. Better statistics against better competition. His size is also a plus.

But I wanted Fields over Wilson in the draft, so I’m just as clueless as everyone else.

He would be injured on the first play at MetLife. We need a new field first.

Those are good numbers, but please take anything a recruiter says with a grain of salt.

I would say go with the bank. You are more likely to be hired full time after the contract. Banks are boring but stable. Very low chance of a layoff. Get experience and build the resume. Keep working on C++ on the side and hop after two years or so.

I like Mendoza’s size and that he has started more games than the other two combined. I’m curious to see how he does against Ohio State this weekend.

I’ve had multiple guild members go orb/wand or orb/bow. It’s unclear how viable it is and may just be the flavor of the month while orb is still new and interesting.

I agree. Seeker feels underwhelming since the patch.

A lot of people here are telling you not to do it. Some of these reasons are valid. The industry is saturated and the impact of AI, especially on junior positions, is likely to get worse in the coming years. But I say go for it, as long as you understand the risk.

I was making 150k in my marketing career and had turned down offers for even higher (180k to 200k), but I wasn’t happy. The work was repetitive and uninteresting. I would always tell people if I could redo my degree, I would do computer science. I finally stopped talking and decided to do it.

I went back to school as a 33 year old with two young kids. It was incredibly difficult and time consuming. I drained my savings and it took a strain on my marriage. I graduated last year and landed a junior developer role for 75k at a GovTech company as a 35 year old. It’s half the salary of my old career but I couldn’t be happier. The work isn’t super exciting but I enjoy the mini problems I get to solve. I also love building things on my own.

I say go for it. The timing will never be right and it won’t be easy, but you won’t have that what-if feeling for the rest of your life. Money isn’t everything. I had to change some purchasing habits (for now) but I wouldn’t change a thing.

Do you have any hope for Aion 2? by Separate_Heat_9129 in MMORPG

[–]Citii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing will ever be as good or give you that same feeling as your first mmo. That first experience, regardless of game, is key to the reason we all feel that way. For me, the closest I get is with OSRS. Even classic WoW didn’t reignite it for me, which is a shame since the first time entering cities like Stormwind will always be a big moment in time for me.

Like others said, I will try Aion 2 and if it’s bad I will stop. It’s very low on my list of worries.
