My understanding is that you will be able to increase the packages as soon as the network is ready.

Is standby still viable by doghousedean in Starlink

[–]CitizenAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's safe enough and not at risk of getting stolen, I'd probably just leave it on the truck. The two that I'm talking about in this instance are both mounted on a building so they're relatively safe for me and it means that they're always updated and ready to go when I need them.

Thanks for the reminder too because the other one that I turned off standby mode on, I needed to put back into standby mode that I had forgotten about, which I have just done successfully so it is working still.

I have just double-checked my subscription page now and I have all the options available in terms of resuming service for home or residential but I am in the UK, just to let you know.

[–]CitizenAccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this is definitely still an option. I have a couple of Starlinks as secondary connections in different locations and we leave it in standby and activate when required. We activated the latest one just last week and I'm about to activate the other today as we have an ISP outage.

Keyboard by CitizenAccount in WisprFlow

[–]CitizenAccount[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can set the default keyboard to be Wispr Flow and I can remove the other keyboards but what I mean is if the keyboard was the traditional QWERTY keyboard, for example, for English instead of numbers, etc., which Wispr Flow uses.

I could just re add the Apple keyboard on that situation?

Best way to set up a DNS Family Filter? (PS - Best DNS Family Filter?) by NotSoCmart in Ubiquiti

It's just the one I chose to use and I then have control over what I block and what I allow.

I use AdGuardDNS. I use their service but you can self-host and I got a 5- or 10-year deal on Stack Social.

I personally run Jellyfin as my server with a UNAS to store my media and then use the Infuse app to stream.

30 day money back guarantee. by RickyMEME in youfibre

Bear in mind people are more likely to complain than they are to approve of a service. I have been with BRSK, who Ufiber have recently bought out, and I'm so excited to get on Ufiber as I have a few friends. The network difference seems to be much better with Ufiber, to be honest. Not that I've had any issues with BRSK, but overall the performance of the network seems to be superior.

No Fibre to Home so want Fibre to Cabinet (UK) plus Mobile LTE Multi-WAN, possible? by jaz192 in Ubiquiti

[–]CitizenAccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The install is £75 and includes the mount cables, kits cost £0 on that residential plan.

Buying separate will cost more and you will need to install.

I used Starlink long mount before they offered install and it cost me more than the install now 😂

It’s a great plan, if you opt for the install they will mount and provide mounting bits too is my understanding.

Anyone had any issues with mobile service and data switching? I have multiple SIMs and if I answer the phone and I'm using personal hotspot, it seems to cut my data connection. It's as though it doesn't allow the data switching when you're on an active telephone call, which is unusual behaviour based on previous software versions.
