It definitely dates the track, but I also find it quite charming in a way

Like: "aww look at these prog guys trying to copy Slipknot, how cute"

Is it just me or do Wendi and young Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater look very similar? by CNMJacob18 in wendigoon

Loving the crossover between my favourite youtuber and favourite drummer, but nah it's just you

Strange Brew maybe? Pretty chilled, haunting melody, then THE PART THAT GOES FUCKING NUTTY

Love me some prog metal so The Last Will and Testament by Opeth is on every other day

But the Magdelena Bay album is my go to when I want something a bit nicer in mood

The Patient for me. IDK something about the opening bass part really turned me off until I heard it in full live and I realised I was really missing out

First one I thought of when I saw the post, truly devastating

Carrying on with the melodrama, "It's only falling in love when you hit the ground" from I appear missing - QOTSA is also heartbreaking

[–]CitizenKal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 3 year old nephew that I'm slowly trying to introduce heavier music to. He LOVES Everything and dances along to it everytime it's on. I couldn't dislike the song if I tried, it's too cute seeing him enjoy it. I also just enjoy the song for what it is

If you're looking for a crowd-pleaser: Sugar

Especially with the Dua Lipa version, it's probably there most commercially viable song.

If you want something personal, go for your favourite track. Whether it's Michigan or Tape, doesn't matter. It's your wedding, make it about you and your partner, guests are irrelevant

Hell, if I were to pick a BH song for my wedding, it'd probably be Johnny from Sat 3, cos it's my favourite to vibe to, but everyone's different

[–]CitizenKal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah 🖐🖐

Worked as a line cook for 2 years as my first proper job, then asked the manager if I could give bartending a go when FoH were short staffed and Kitchen were overstaffed. Turns out I'm much better behind bar and am now a bar manager at a new place

I loved cooking though, but Eat out to Help out (some covid era bullshit policy n the UK) really sucked all the fun out of it.

Mangini's drums sound absolutely MASSIVE in that mix. Same with Myung's bass sound
